Intanto interessante intervista a John Harbaugh, dal SUN:
The Ravens have three quarterbacks in Steve McNair, Kyle Boller and Troy Smith. Have you chosen a starter?
We're not there yet. To me, personnel situations are like playing a round of golf. Sometimes you've got a 60-foot putt, and sometimes you've got a tap-in. That position right now is probably not a tap-in. ... It's going to be competitive, and that [competition] will determine which guy plays. Maybe it's someone in the draft or maybe someone on another team. That has yet to be determined. I think all three of those guys want to compete for that job.
McNair is recovering from shoulder surgery. How's his health?
I think he's going to be healthy. ... He's well on his way to being right. He might be in the best shape he's ever been in at this stage of an offseason. He's motivated.
Because you came from the Eagles, there have been rumors about the Ravens trading for Donovan McNabb. Do the Ravens have any interest in him?
Obviously, there's been no contact with Donovan. ... I think any team would love to have Donovan as their quarterback. Donovan quarterbacks the Philadelphia Eagles, and that's where it stands.
You have talked to about 60 percent of the players since you have been hired. What's your impression?
Cam [Cameron, offensive coordinator] and I were laughing the other day that it's almost like these guys have a script. They have been saying all the things we want to hear. They're talking about practicing hard, caring about one another and paying attention to detail. It's like these guys already have that foundation. Ozzie [Newsome, general manager] has done an unbelievable job of bringing in guys that fit that "Raven model." To me, that's why it has a chance to be a good football team.
Have you talked to offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden and do you think he'll return this season?
I think he's right on the fence. The times that we've talked, he's torn. He's trying to figure out what he wants to do, and he's going to take his time. He'll approach it very methodically and do what is best for him.
You'll run the team meetings, but the coordinators will run the others. But how involved will you be in the other meetings?
Every coach is responsible for his area. I think you need to give coaches the opportunity to do that. But I'm going to be in a lot of those meetings. I'm going to be a part of them. I'll be in every [practice] drill and chasing offensive linemen down the field. To me, as a head coach, I'll be coaching everybody in a style of play. I'm going to have fun out there in practice and that's the rule. You don't get this opportunity and not have fun, right?
What changes have you made to the locker room?
Most NFL locker rooms are organized by position. What we did was we basically rolled the dice and just kind of shook everybody up in a bottle and threw it out there. We mixed all the lockers around. ... So, [defensive tackle] Kelly Gregg is next to [safety] Ed Reed. You're with your position all day every day. They don't need to be next to each other in the locker room, too. Let's get to know some other guys. Let's find about each other. Let's get to know each other so we can say, "I know this guy. This guy is my brother."
Do you feel the excitement generated by your hiring?
There's a buzz. The previous staff, they did a great job and Brian [Billick] did a great job of rallying everyone behind him in the whole building. I'm going to try to do as good a job as he did of rallying everybody around him. There's generally an excitement when things change. It's going to be our responsibility to validate that.
Dunque abbastanza controversa la situazione QB.
