Ma cazzo...Santos deve per forza far parte dell' Opening Roster e stare fisso nei 25 secondo me...magari fare il backup catcher ancora un anno e il titolare nel 2011 se continua a migliorare ancora...Non dimentichiamo che è stato uno dei migliori rookie dell'intero campionato...assurdo agire diversamente secondo me

Joe Sherman tweets today that he "was told again #Mets will definitely tender contract to John Maine," which could mean the right-hander will make as much as $4 million or so in 2010.

Maine missed more than half of 2009 with shoulder pain, but was effective in the time he spent on the mound, posting a 4.43 ERA in 81 1/3 innings.

Tendering the 28-year-old would presumable set the Mets with at least four starters, including Johan Santana, Oliver Perez and Mike Pelfrey joining Maine. Rookie Bobby Parnell is expected to be in the mix for the No. 5 spot in the rotation, but most reports describe the Mets as contenders for the likes of Randy Wolf, Jason Marquis and Joel Pineiro via free agency, and potentially even John Lackey, the top starter on the market.

Secondo me Maine in rotazione ci può anche stare. Sono Pelfrey e soprattutto Perez che non ci azzeccano nulla... 

A me pensare di rivedere Perez sul monte mi viene male..

Continua il valzer dei catcher. Sottolineo come Coste sarà il "mentore" di Thole, gli sarà comunque utile avere qualcuno che si dedichi solo a lui...
A questo punto, dato che Molina non dovrebbe costare scelte al draft, mi sa che sarà lui il target principale... Minaya ha deciso di ringiovanire la squadra...

Al Rule V Draft abbiamo scelto RHP Carlos Monasterios(classe '86)dell'organizzazione dei Phillies...Attualmete sta giocando nel campionato venezuelano con un record di 7-2 e 3.51 di ERA...

Fino a quando i vari Lackey, Holliday, Halladay e Bay non firmano il morale è stabile... quando prenderemo atto che nessuno di questi giocherà con noi allora si, il morale potrà scendere sotto i tacchi....
