IMHO Jamison non ha più la rapidità per fare la SF,io punterei su Hickson in quintetto quest'anno,può venir fuori un ottimo giocatore...

Come avevo gia riportato diverse pagine fa Scott durante la SL ha dichiarato che JJ partirà sicuramente in quintetto nel ruolo di PF. E' la scelta giusta per diversi motivi ,Hickson per età e talento non può che essere uno dei punti fermi della nostra franchigia al momento. Tra l' altro in SL ha dimostrato miglioramenti notevoli dal punto di vista offensivo. Powe è un solido sostituto nel ruolo e dovrebbe essere stato anche firmato Samardo Samuels anche se non è arrivato ancora una conferma ufficiale.
Su Jamison Byron si era detto ancora indeciso però ha fatto intendere che il ruolo in cui lo vede meglio è quello di sesto uomo a cambiare PF e SF.
Per quanto riguarda Mo e Sessions non so se partiranno entrambi in quintetto (comunque scelta non da escludere), ma sicuramente li vedremo per parecchio tempo in campo insieme.
In linea di massima Mo in difesa farà l' 1 e in attacco il 2, viceversa Ramon che aveva gia ricoperto un ruolo/compito simile a Bucks nelle situazioni  in cui veniva schierato insieme a Ridnour. Sicuramente in difesa è una soluzione che ti penalizza un pò anche se l' ex Wolves è forse sottovalutato come difensore ed ha discreti mezzi atletici e fisici. In attacco invece i 2 sono complementari come caratteristiche e quindi possono fare molto bene insieme. Sembra anche che ci sia l' intenzione di dare maggior spazio a Gibson rispetto alla scorsa stagione.
Ne ruolo di C dovrebbe partire Varejao che quantomeno da un punto di vista statistico ha un rendimento più alto quando gioca in quel ruolo. Hollins ha comunque le caratteristiche(altetismo,capacità di correre il campo ecc..) per ritagliarsi un suo spazio.
In SF al momento il titolare dovrebbe essere Moon, in SG nei minuti in cui non gioccheremo con il doppio play troverà spazio Parker. Graham, Danny e Eyenga le prime alternative. Il congolese probabilmente dovrà passare qualche tempo in DL, ma è un bel prospetto.

Per quanto riguarda il mercato non sono da escludere altri movimenti. Grant però ha dichiarato che intende mantenere una certa flessibilità a livello salariale e che quindi arriveranno giocatori con contratto a lungo termine solo se partiranno giocatori dal contratto simile.
Avremmo ancora l' intera MLE da spendere(Graham ha firmato per il minimo salariale), ma visto cio che rimane tra i FA penso sia meglio non utilizzarla :lol2:.

Cavaliers Announce 2010-11 Preseason Schedule

CLEVELAND, OH - August 5, 2010 - The Cleveland Cavaliers will play an eight-game preseason schedule in preparation for the 2010-11 NBA regular season, presented by Cub Cadet Premium Lawn Equipment, including a home game versus the Washington Wizards and No. 1 overall pick John Wall and a regional home game against the Philadelphia 76ers and No. 2 overall pick and former Ohio State star Evan Turner. The team will also face Euroleague superpower CSKA Moscow at Quicken Loans Arena. Cavalier fans throughout the region will be able to see the team in person as the Cavaliers will play three games at Quicken Loans Arena during the preseason, in addition to hosting neutral site games in Pittsburgh, PA, Cincinnati, OH and Columbus, OH.

Cleveland will open the preseason with two home games at Quicken Loans Arena, the first versus the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7:00 p.m. and the second against the Washington Wizards on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 7:00 p.m. The Cavaliers then travel to Texas for back-to-back games with the first stop against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 6:00 p.m., and the second against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center on Monday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The team will complete their Texas tussle in the first regional home game against the San Antonio Spurs in Pittsburgh, which will represent the return of Pittsburgh native, former Pitt All-American and Spurs forward DeJuan Blair on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center.

Cavaliers to Open 2010-11 Regular Season at The Q Against the Boston Celtics


CLEVELAND, OH - August 10, 2010 - For the sixth time in seven seasons, the Cleveland Cavaliers will open the 2010-11 season at Quicken Loans Arena. The Cavaliers will take on the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, Oct. 27th, marking the third consecutive season that the Cavaliers and Celtics will tip off in the Cavaliers’ season opener.

The Cavaliers are scheduled to appear on at least three national television broadcasts, including the Miami Heat’s first visit to Cleveland on Dec. 2nd on TNT. The game will also be aired nationally on ESPN Radio. Cleveland will also appear in national television broadcasts on NBA TV at Phoenix on Jan. 9 and on ESPN against the New Orleans Hornets on March 6 at The Q.

The regional television broadcast schedule on FOX Sports Ohio will be announced at a later date. All games will be broadcast locally, and regionally across the Cavaliers Radio Network, by the Cavaliers’ flagship station WTAM 1100 AM by Joe Tait, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2010 Curt Gowdy Media Award recipient. The upcoming 2010-11 season is expected to be Tait’s final as the ‘Voice of the Cavaliers’.

This season’s 82-game schedule consists of 41 home and 41 road games. The Cavaliers will face each Western Conference opponent twice this season, once at The Q and once on the road. Each Eastern Conference opponent will play Cleveland four times (twice at The Q and twice on the road) with the exception of Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte and Toronto, whom the Cavs will play three times.

The NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers make their lone visit to Cleveland in the Cavaliers’ final game prior to All-Star Weekend on Feb. 16th. Cleveland’s 2010-11 schedule also includes:

La speranza si chiama Oklahoma City Thunder: smantellare la squadra e puntare a ricostruire attraverso il draft, andando dalle squadre in odore di luxury tax (tipo gli Hornets lo scorso giugno) chiedendo: vuoi che ci prendiamo un contratto che ti pesa (Mo Pete) e scambiamo alcune scelte (Aldrich per Brackins e Pondexter)?

La strada è lunga, ma vista l'impossibilità a prendere free agents che contato è l'unica percorribile

A Tmac non è mai stato proposto un contratto. E' stato solamente "provinato" come altri giocatori nelle settimane scorse. Questo tipo di work-out presuppone che ci sia un interesse del giocatore a firmare per la squadra per cui lo sostiene, il team poi fa le sue valutazioni. Quindi in questa situazione è probabilmente avvenuto l' esatto opposto a quanto tu sostieni.

Che poi la strada da percorrere/che sarà percorsa per tornare molto competitivi sia quella del draft è probabile. Le franchigie che possono permettersi di agire in maniera diversa sono veramente poche, alla lunga nessuna.

Comunque spiace dirlo (o forse no  :lol2:), ma l' 80% delle cose che scrivi sono comprese tra l' inesatto e la cavolata. Consiglio spassionato, informarsi meglio prima di addentrarsi in determinati discorsi.

Ammesso che la tesi possa essere corretta, l'esempio di McGrady è il meno calzante in quanto è accaduto l'esatto contrario: ha fatto un workout e lo staff (non solo il nostro, visto che ha provato un po' con tutti) evidentemente l'ha trovato in condizioni fisiche scandalose e non ha offerto il contratto.

Poi che si debba passare dalla cessione dei contrattoni e dal draft è poco ma sicuro a questo punto...
