Ad occhio e croce tutto sommato no. Magari il contratto ad Alex Gonzalez è grandicello ma tollerabile.
E' stato lì solo 2 stagioni però ed ha fatto solo una mossa "importante" (quella di Lopez e Kearns) e secondo me l'ha sbagliata alla grandissima. Per il resto è stato molto conservativo, che non è neanche tanto male se si pensa che non abbia lasciato andare via dei prospetti (e i Reds ne hanno tanti). Diciamo che per ora si prende un "s.v." politico e facciamo finta di non aver visto quel trade, nella speranza che fosse un'eccezione.

On Sept. 8, for example, the Cubs scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take a 9-2 lead, and Wood -- already at 107 pitches -- came out to pitch the bottom of the inning. In the playoffs that year, he threw 124 pitches in his first start and 112 pitches in under six innings in his last start. Wood, who had already had a history of arm injuries, including Tommy John surgery that cost him the 1999 season, hurt his arm in 2004, was limited by more arm injuries to just 86 innings in 2005-'06, and finally had to be moved to a one-inning bullpen role in 2007.
