"Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said he expects Afinogenov to be out for "a little while""
Sorry but "Indefinitely" is not the same of "2 or more weeks"

"A decision is believed to be imminent."

and from the rulebook:
"You need to ask for it in the apposite thread posting at least one reliable and two-days-old link maintaining that your player is supposed to miss 2 weeks of action or more"

so probably the answer it's going to be yes, but not today yet.

The link is not 2-days-old.
You can consider IR status automatically allowed from Thursday, Jan 22 CET.

I'm sorry, but these are the rules (and you could save a move if yahoo itself will add the IR for Di Pietro tomorrow).

I'm kinda surprised I wrote that. I'm sorry to all the moderators about that. It was not needed.

Rejected. We need a 2-days-old link.

IR status allowed now.

NOTE TO EVERYONE (participants and mods):
from now onward, please just delete links posted that are not 2 days old yet.
The 2 days old rule is there for several reasons:
-making the artificial IR status subordinated to the lack of IR assignement by yahoo.
-hence reducing the number of requests on the forum that needs mods' evaluation.
-not wasting a roster move.

if we don't remove these early requests, we will have a lot more useless links coming and everytime we will have to remember to go back checking them later when they become valid..
instead, it's up to the requesting team to post the link after it becomes legit.
This way any request will be ultimately rejected OR approved straight away.
