lo sapevamo...schedule brutale...bisognerà partire già in forma: Jets e Bolts le prime due

solo 1 game di regular season sull'erba naturale (a Miami)

si ritira Drew Bledsoe:

che dire ? il miglior qb, dopo Tom Brady, nella storia dei Pats

il suo arrivo, in un momento buio della franchigia, creo' speranze.

si comincio' ad essere competitivi e vincere e nel 1996 a giungere persino al Super Bowl (bellissime ed indimenticabili alcune sue vittorie - semplicemente grandiosa una contro MIN)

un giocatore che a Foxboro non si è mai tirato indietro giocando 'al limite'

speriamo che Robert Kraft un giorno gli dia il 'famoso' contratto da 1 giorno e che si ritiri da Patriot come merita

Il suo infortunio fu invece l'inizio della vostra gloria reale. :gazza:

l'arrivo di Bledsoe e del Tonno nel 1993 cambio' la faccia alla franchigia - si passo' subito dopo alla Famiglia Kraft e quindi alle vittorie ed ai 'sold out' quando prima di Bledsoe si temeva persino di andare a STL...

diede speranze, poi certezze

si ricomincio' a vincere, si ritorno' competitivi e a giocarsi ogni stagione

sicuramente Bledsoe per 6-7 anni è stato l'immagine della franchigia degli anni '90.

nel 1998 gioco' e porto alle vittorie i Pats con dita rotte...

in quel periodo le maglie n.11 andavano a ruba

poi dal 2001 tutto è cambiato

da quella tremenda botta Bledsoe a mio avviso non si è piu' ripreso

chiude una buona carriera ed a New England sarà ricordato comunque come uno dei migliori qb della franchigia dopo Brady ed assieme a Grogan, Parilli, Plunkett, e, per me, pure Tony Eason; Drew è stato '' l'antipasto '' al banchetto di questi ultimi 6 anni.

e come scrive l'Herald '' there are young children they think that going to the Super Bowl is an easy as flying to Disney World'...

e prima dell'arrivo di Bledsoe, in quegli anni, i Pats erano pessimi...inguardabili...

un buon veterano che aggiunge profondità al reparto in attesa di vedere che accade sul fronte Asante Samuel...

questo è un altro buon acquisto di una free agency da incorniciare, forse la migliore di sempre, imho.

costa il giusto, accordo di 1 anno; se necessario puo' essere un titolare altrimenti ottimo back up.

in situazioni di goal line lo vedo anche meglio di Hobbs per questioni di altezza.

nel 2006 ha giocato sempre con numeri brillanti.

Pro Bowler nel 2004.

sembra proprio il tipico giocatore da Pats per fare un grande roster composto da 53 giocatori.

ps = Corey Dillon sembra vicino al ritiro

in primis Aaron Ross, CB da Texas ma pure Reggie Nelson, S da Florida e Paul Posluszny, LB da Penn State.

Alcuni ci danno anche Griffin, sempre come Safety, ovviamente concordo anche io, un buon linebacker, e poi un defensive back. Per i giri successivi, forse un QB magari verso il settimo giro (sempre se non firmiamo un veteran backup), poi mi piacerebbe anche un altro LB, e magari un RB. Anche se la priorità è ovviamente la difesa

• The Patriots, who own 10 picks overall, have made 23 draft-day trades during the Bill Belichick/Scott Pioli era, which dates back to 2000. So don't count out a deal with one of their two first-round picks in this year's draft.
• The Patriots' top needs exist at inside linebacker and safety. In this scenario, Nelson is the best available option. At 6-0 and 198 pounds, Nelson has very good range and playmaking potential as a centerfielder-type free safety. Head coach Bill Belichick loves players from Florida because he has tremendous respect for coach Urban Meyer.
• The team has spent quality time with Meriweather during the pre-draft process and Griffin is another possibility if New England elects to draft a safety at No. 28.
• The Patriots never act as if they're handcuffed by needs during draft weekend, but the Asante Samuel situation should increase their interest in this year's cornerback crop. Ross would be a possibility if available at No. 24 overall. If not, the team has shown interest in Fresno State CB Marcus McCauley, which it could nab later in this round or by trading up into the top half of Round 2.

• After landing S Nelson four picks earlier, the team could use this pick on the best available linebacker. New England would consider Michigan's David Harris here, but Beason is the better value. He's instinctive, quick and tough enough to develop into a good starter at inside linebacker in the team's 3-4 scheme. Belichick's system is complex, which is why the team typically avoids drafting linebackers high. However, Beason would have ample time to learn as a backup in 2007 behind aging veteran ILBs Tedy Bruschi and Mike Vrabel.
• As is always the case with the Patriots, don't be surprised if they stray from their needs and take advantage of a player who falls to them at No. 28 overall. Some examples could include OT Staley, Auburn G Ben Grubbs, USC C Ryan Kalil, WR Bowe, DT Harrell or OLB/DE Spencer.

e poi lo sanno anche le pietre in Pennsylvania che se Frisco passa, Adam C lo prendiamo noi

adesso ti confesso il mio più grande timore attuale: sabato, draft, noi non caghiamo nemmeno di striscio Posluszny, cioè l'eroe locale...il ragazzo alla fine lo prende Belichick e diventa il nostro incubo per i prossimi 10 anni
