leggendo il giornale di sacramento ho letto questo rumor...
Kings and Indiana Pacers are discussing a sign-and-trade that would send Wells to his home state and bring center Jeff Foster and point guard Sarunas Jasikevicius to Sacramento.
questo riporterebbe wells nel suo stato....ma mi pare un ipotesi remota....
i pacers sembra abbiano smentito che nn cè nulla di vero (alla fine sembra abbiano ammessoche sia stata solo un idea passegera.....)
cosa ne pensereste?IO VOGLIO BONZI E BASTA

News sulla nuova arena, positive a quanto sembre:
Updated 4:20 p.m.] After talks that stretched into the night and bled over into the morning, negotiators for the city and county of Sacramento today announced a deal with the Maloof family to finance a new arena for the Sacramento Kings. The financing package would rely on voter approval of a new quarter-cent sales tax that would produce about $1.2 billion over 15 years.
The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors is slated to vote Aug. 2 on whether to place the measure on the ballot.
A new arena isn't the only thing in the financing package. If the new sales tax was adopted, at least $594 million would go back to the county and its cities for community projects, said members of the negotiating team, who briefed The Bee on Thursday.
The rest of the money would be reserved for building a new arena in the downtown rail yard costing somewhere between $470 million and $542 million. Any money not needed for the arena would go back to the county and cities.
In return for the public financing, the Maloofs, the family that owns the Kings, agreed to contribute $20 million to a repair fund for the new facility. They also agreed to sign a 30-year lease and make $122 million in payments over its life -- bringing the team's total contribution to between 26 percent and 30 percent of the project's cost.
In addition, the team owners pledged to pay off their current $71 million loan from the city. That payoff is not being considered as part of the contribution to the arena deal.
The new arena would anchor a sports and entertainment district planned by developer Stan Thomas for the downtown rail yard. It would be owned by a new joint powers authority likely made up of city and county representatives. But the Kings would be responsible for the operating costs, and would get all the money from events, food and beverage sales and parking. The team also would receive the millions of dollars likely to be paid for naming rights.
Arco Arena would be torn down. The Maloofs would be free to sell the 85 acres on which it sits, a gold mine in fast growing North Natomas that could fetch more than $500,000 per acre, according to a recent appraisal. The city, which owns 100 acres next door, plans to sell its land and contribute the money to infrastructure improvements needed in the rail yard to serve the arena project.
Representatives of the city, the county and the Kings said the deal is comparable to others reached for new NBA arenas around the country. The Maloof family is paying more than owners have in Memphis, Indianapolis and Charlotte, N.C., three of the most recently constructed arenas, said Sacramento County Supervisor Roger Dickinson, one of the lead negotiators.
Sacramento Mayor Heather Fargo, who attended the briefing at The Bee, said building a new arena is about more than just professional sports, but also about injecting new energy into a dormant portion of downtown. "We're looking at 200 events a year, 2 million people, coming to an arena in the center of our city, within walking distance of our intermodal (transit) station," she said.

qui ci sono diverse opinioni sulla costruzione di un nuovo stadio....
After all the dealing, it's up to the people. Marcos Bretón, you're right, it is time for the people to speak, and the answer is no to the Maloofs' greed.
I support a new arena and downtown redevelopment. The quarter-cent tax is a not a biggie in those items. The fact that the Maloofs would get all the revenue from all concerts, shows conventions, tournaments, etc., is.
And to get the revenue from a facility being built with mostly public funds going to the Maloofs? Unacceptable. The Maloofs are rich enough, what with their holdings in Las Vegas and various liquor distributorships. The Kings sell out each game, which leads me to believe they are not hurting there, either.
Sacramento has a population of 407,000, according to the 2000 U.S. census. I would rather see a one-cent tax placed on all items bought at a new arena to generate the funds to pay for construction.
The Maloofs should see some percentage of the gate returns for Kings/Monarch games (less their rent), but they are not entitled to all the arena's generated revenue.
I would hate to see the Kings go, but I would hate to see them stay like robber barons under the present deal. If no on a tax to fund the arena under this deal means they go, let them.
-- Bob Moreno, Sacramento
Sneaky move by politicians
I'm a staunch follower of the Kings, but I live in Vacaville, so I won't be asked to vote for the arena measure. However, I had to chime in: You know what bothers me about this deal? The "additional half-billion dollars for other countywide projects." The special-interest groups can't get tax increases for their pet projects when they annually put them on the ballot, so they're trying to go in the back door by tacking them on the arena issue. Sneaky -- and sad. How long would the quarter-cent sales tax be in effect without the extra money being raised? Half of the proposed 15 years? It's too bad that the proponents put an otherwise positive measure at risk by trying to play on voters' emotions about the Kings. If I were the Board of Supervisors, I would seriously consider removing that portion of the measure before approving it for the ballot.
-- Mike Barnett, Vacaville
Hats off to city, Maloofs
Congratulations to the city leaders and the Maloof family on taking the first step in the process of building a new sports and entertainment arena. The monies raised to build the arena will also help revitalize other areas of the city through this small possible tax hike and will enhance Sacramento and deepen the pride for the community and our Kings.
Some politicians who have long opposed this project including the use of public funds will only try to influence your vote for their own political gain by opposing the arena and revitalization. Joe and Gavin Maloof have proved their commitment to Sacramento through their generous monetary contribution. Then again, they have long communicated their dedication, but no one has listened.
