E' morto Art Modell, personaggio amato a Baltimora ed odiato a Cleveland, che ha fatto discutere tantissimo ma che sicuramente è stato uno dei più importanti ed influenti proprietari di franchigia che hanno portato l'NFL ad essere quella che è oggi:

Modell was 87. One of the most controversial and influential owners in league history, Modell will be remembered for taking the Cleveland Browns to Baltimore and rebranding them the Ravens in 1996. Esatto, grande uomo di football, un autentico pioniere. Quello che fece alla città di Cleveland fu veramente un torto gigantesco, e resterà sempre nella sua storia, una controversia che etichetta a vita chiunque tolga una squadra storica dalla propria città per il mancato accordo per un nuovo stadio, o perchè ci sono posti più redditizi.

Vista la medaglia dall'altro lato, Modell ha restituito il football a Baltimore che l'aveva perso dopo aver visto traslocare gli amati Colts a Indy, da una parte ha tolto, dall'altra ha sicuramente fatto felici molte persone, visto anche il livello competitivo tenuto dai Ravens dalla loro nascita ad oggi.
