Va detto che per avere quella con cui hanno firmato Nash hanno dovuto cedere Odom.

Sbaglierò, ma secondo me finchè esisteranno le TPE e le sign and trade esisteranno enormi differenze fra alcune squadre e altre, superluxury o non superluxury.
Perchè un conto è che una squadra sopra il cap abbia una MLE o una mini-MLE, e già qui ci sarebbe molto da discutere.
Un altro è dare la possibilità a una squadra con 80-90 milioni sul cap di "comprare" cap e poter usare eccezioni da milioni e milioni. I free agent dovrebbero andare dove c'è spazio salariale, o essere disposti a firmare al minimo.
Per dire, Nash è free agent. Vuole andare ai Lakers? Benissimo, firma al minimo, o comunque per la mini-MLE. Ma che una squadra con i contratti di Bryant, Gasol, Bynum, Metta, Blake etc. possa offrire i soldi che ha offerto a Nash mi lascia francamente molto molto perplesso. E che abbia una qualche possibilità di prendere Howard usando una sign and trade anche.

Nash è una non-simultaneous trade (sign&trade, nello specifico) per Odom.
Hanno potuto prenderlo dopo aver ceduto un asset, non "comprando" cap.
S&t che comunque dalla prossima stagione saranno possibili solo per le squadre che non pagano più di 4M di Luxury Tax.
Quindi no, i Lakers non avranno alcuna possibilità di arrivare ad un Howard free agent
E come tutte le squadre che pagano la Luxury Taxm hanno solo ed esclusivamente la mini-MLE da 3M.

Le S&T e sopratutto la TPE non sono una vera "minaccia" per la competitività.
La TPE è il meccanismo generale che gestisce le trade sopra il cap.
Se una squadra ha disposizione una TPE vuol dire che ha rinunciato a qualcosa(nel caso dei Lakers Odom) e può essere utilizzata solamente in limitate trade e non per firmare FA(i Lakers per rimanere in tema hanno dovuto mettere sul piatto anche quattro scelte per la trade per Nash).

Comunque a partire dalla stagione 2013/2014 la squadre che riceve un giocatore in una S&T non potrà essere sopra l'apron (4mil oltre la soglia della luxury) dopo la S&T.
