adoro tuttora kirilenko ma penso che i wolves abbian fatto un errore. offensivamente gli ci vuole gente in grado di aprire il campo col tiro da fuori per le scorribande di rubio, e kiri, pur non accentrando il gioco, di certo non ti aiuta da quel punto di vista.
però, oltre a essere un gran collante e giocatore versatile (ma difensore nba forse sopravvalutato quanto monstre a livello fiba) c'è il pregio della brevità del contratto.

Se l'hanno preso per fare esclusivamente il 3 sono d'accordo.

Cavaliers Acquire Pargo and 2014 Second Round Pick From Grizzlies

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired point guard Jeremy Pargo, Memphis’ 2014 second round draft pick and cash considerations from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for guard/forward D.J. Kennedy, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts.

"Our approach remains consistent as we try to bring in young talent, create future opportunity with draft picks as potential assets and maintain flexibility,” said Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant. “Jeremy adds depth to our backcourt. He is a young, aggressive, athletic guard who we feel fits well with our style of play, both defensively and offensively. We look forward to welcoming him to Cleveland."

Pargo, 26, played in 44 games (five starts) with Memphis last season, averaging 2.9 points and 1.3 assists in 9.7 minutes per game after signing with the Grizzlies as an undrafted free agent. In the 2010-11 season, Pargo appeared in 32 games for Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv of the Israel Premier League and averaged 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 27.1 minutes per game. He also appeared in 22 Euroleague games, averaging 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 29.4 minutes per game. In 2009-10, Pargo played in 27 games for Altshuler Saham Galil Gilboa of the Israel Premier League and averaged 14.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 28.4 minutes per game. He attended Gonzaga University where he played in 134 games (103 starts) over four years and finished with career averages of 9.3 points on .465 shooting, 3.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 28.7 minutes per game.

Kennedy appeared in two game for the Cavs last season and averaged 6.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 29.5 minutes per game after being signed by Cleveland on April 21, 2012

Altra bella mossa di Grant che come al solito spunta fuori un pò dal nulla.

Serviva un pò di profondità in più in PG e Pargo si può infilare bene in un contesto di una squadra atletica e da corsa.
In più arriva anche l'ennesima seconda scelte che può far sempre comodo anche solamente come asset aggiuntivo da rigirare successivamente.

Per i Grizz questa mossa è evidemente un puro "salary dump"/liberare un posto a roster. D.J. Kennedy ha un contratto garantito solo per il TC e può quindi essere tagliato senza problemi.

La trade di ieri sera (quella a 3 tra NO, PHX e MIN) al momento è saltata per problemi fazzocratici.
Resta comunque l'accordo verbale tra i 3 team che proveranno a fare aggiustamenti.
Nel caso la scelta che arriverebbe a Phoenix sarebbe quella via Memphis di Houston, top 14 protected per i primi 4 anni che diventa una scelta al secondo giro più cash il 5°. Non bene.

Se la trade non va in porto PHX si riprende Warrick e firmerà Robin Lopez per la QO a 4 milioni, il prossimo anno sarà unrestricted ma soprattutto Minnesota credo avrà difficoltà a firmare Kirilenko

se fosse questa, la trade non si potrebbe fare perchè NO sforerebbe?
