Intanto un paio di curiosità sul tag, by albert breer (analista nflnetwork):
Studying the franchise tag today some ... Found that of 46 players tagged from 2008-11, 22 got long-term deals. Other 24 played on tenders.
If things stay same today (I suspect we'll get at least 1 deal), then it'd by 31 of 67 tagged players getting long-term deals from '08-12.
Another thing that stuck out to me was that 11 of the 55 players (20%) tagged between 2009 and '12 were kickers or punters.
... (I'm guessing that wasn't Pat Bowlen's intention when he came up with the idea to make sure John Elway would be a career Bronco).

Accordo di quattro anni, 18 milioni garantiti e circa 8 milioni all'anno. Finalmente si è conclusa positivamente la vicenda Forte dopo molti alti e bassi fra giocatore e società.

Dopo Forte firma anche Ray Rice, sul filo di lana (la deadline era alle 22).

The Carroll County Times reports Rice is due to collect $40 million over five years, including $25 million guaranteed and $17 million in 2012.

Ray Rice's deal is worth $35 million over five years, with escalators to $40 million. $17 million in first year, which is huge for a RB.
On Ray Rice's 5yr deal with Ravens, $25M comes in the 1st 2 yrs, and $24m is guaranteed. He makes $17M iin 2012 and $24M in 1st 12 months.
