Come shooting guard ha ancora un po da vedere (troppo sbagli nella 2a meta di partita perche e' stanco).

"When you come to UNC there will be a spelling exercise" disse il mio Coach
"You will learn how to put together 2 words .. team and mate .. to form teammate"
Il play più adatto al college basket è sicuramente McNamara;il più adatto in prospettiva NBA sicuramente Thomas

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Like the cartoon Road Runner zipping through the desert at speeds of fast and faster, Rajon Rondo darts up and down the basketball court with the ball on a string, his hands serving as a master yo-yo.
Pity Wile E. Coyote who can't catch the Road Runner, and pity opposing guards who will try to slow Rondo this season or keep him from swiping the ball from them faster than they can go, "Beep, Beep."
The University of Kentucky's sophomore point guard terrorizes teammates in practice and the opposition last year with his quick hands, long arms and anticipation.
So it was no surprise he picked up where he left off as a freshman in leading the Blue team to a 94-85 win over the White team in the Blue-White scrimmage at Memorial Coliseum on Saturday.
"He created a lot of problems on both ends with offense and defense," UK head coach Tubby Smith said.
Rondo had 33 points, making nine of 13 field goals and three of five three-pointers. He also had eight assists and eight steals.
Before the season started, Rondo said he and Smith discussed how playing a more up-tempo style this season would benefit the team.
Being able to play at Rondo speed put a grin on the point guard's face.
"It was a lot of fun using my speed and quickness, and we ran and shot the three well today, too," said Rondo, who was named to the all-Southeastern Conference freshman team after leading the league and setting a school record with 87 steals.
And for once, except when he made 2-of-2 three-pointers in UK's second-round NCAA Tournament victory against the University of Cincinnati, Rondo could include himself when talking about the team's high three-point shooting percentage.
The Blue team made 45 percent of its treys and the White team, led by returning leading scorer Patrick Sparks with four, shot 43.5 percent, up from the team average of 34.3 percent last season.
Rondo made all three of his three-pointers, scoring 11 of his team's points during a 14-3 run in the first half for a 39-27 lead.
The first one he made was an off-balance shot as he fell to the floor at the top of the key. The second came after he stole the ball then pulled up on the right wing. The third dropped in from the left wing off a pass from senior Ravi Moss, who had three three-pointers and was second on the Blue team with 17 points.
"I thought Rajon, his outside shooting was certainly impressive," Smith said.
The mere fact that Rondo took five three-point attempts was significant because last season, he didn't attempt his fifth three-pointer until the eighth game of the year against Louisville.
Rondo spent the summer shooting hundreds of jumpers a day and although it was only a scrimmage Saturday, the work appears to have paid off.
After missing his first attempt, Rondo did something he would have never done last season. He kept firing.
"I just kept my confidence," said Rondo, who made 10 of 33 three-pointers last season. "I like this gym a lot so I just kept shooting the ball.
"I almost feel like I'm unstoppable (when I'm making my jumpers) because you've got to come up on my shot now and I think I'm pretty fast so I can get to the hole easily."
Rondo also spent the summer improving another area of his game that was shaky: free throws.
After making just 58.3 percent last season, he made 12 of 15 during the scrimmage and said he feels more confident at the line and behind the arc.
If the improvements translate in games, Rondo will be even more difficult to stop.
"If you come up on him, he'll go by you and now if you can make free throws like he did today, he's even more of a threat," Smith said. "I thought that was the key to him keeping the White team at bay was him being able to control the ball, the tempo."
Utilizing Rondo's speed and ability to dictate the pace of the game is what the Wildcats are hoping to do this season.
After averaging 73.6 points per game last year, look for UK to up its scoring average.
"We just pushed the ball constantly," said junior-college transfer Rekalin Sims, who had 16 points and seven rebounds.
