Every NBA team getting new uniforms for 2010-11 season

NBA referees will have more reasons to issue technical fouls next season.

At the referees’ annual meeting in Jersey City, N.J., on Thursday, the league announced the guidelines for technical fouls will expand to include “overt” player reactions to referee calls.

Referees have been instructed to call a technical for:

- Players making aggressive gestures, such as air punches, anywhere on the court.

- Demonstrative disagreement, such as when a player incredulously raises his hands, or smacks his own arm to demonstrate how he was fouled.

- Running directly at an official to complain about a call.

- Excessive inquiries about a call, even in a civilized tone.

In addition, referees have been instructed to consider calling technicals on players who use body language to question or demonstrate displeasure, or say things like, “Come on!” They can also consider technicals for players who “take the long path to the official”, walking across the court to make their case.

che paggliacciata.. Dare ancora più potere decisionale agli arbitri per di più in un campo dell'arbitraggio molto soggettivo...... Non voglio dare degli incompetenti agli arbitri in generale, ma nelle ultime finals se ne sono viste di tutte e conoscendo alcune teste calde anche tra gli abitri (che nonostante ciò godono di un'ottima reputazione tanto da farli finire nelle gare di PO e Finals che contano) mi pare una presa di posizione completamente opposta e in contrasto al ragionamento che sta a monte ad esempio dell'inserimento dell'instant replay.
Ripeto secondo me una pagliacciata

quando inizeranno come in europa a fischiare gli antisportivi allora ne riparliamo.
vedi falli ai limite della decenza,a volte violenti,totalmente volontari e mai un antisposrtivo salvo rarissimi casi.

altro che tropo potere,dovrebbero inizare a punire maggiormente determinati contatti.

si sono daccordo ma non era a questo a cui alludevo. L'antisportivo in effetti non lo chiamano mai o quasi e poi succede come è successo a Bogut e non sto certo dicendo che dovrebbero lasciare i giocatori picchiarsi a vicenda.

Io dico che dai agli arbitri un potere di influenzare le partite non per come i giocatori giochino all'interno del campo ma per come gli arbitri stessi interpretino le reazioni e i comportamenti dei giocatori stessi. Le cose sono diverse perchè se spingi uno da dietro mentre salta a termine di regolamento è antisportivo/espulsione mentre i comportamenti dei giocatori sono a pura interpretazione soggettiva dell'arbitro.
Già prima bisognava assistere a scenette pietose di arbitri che danni tecnici perchè si sentono offesi, voglio ricordare scenette patetiche come tecnico di Sheed mi pare nelle finali di conf del 2002 o la famosa espulsione di Duncan con Crawford mentre TD era in panchina a farsi due risate.
