Hanno messo apposto l' audio :cheer:. Ieri avevo provato a seguire la conferenza in diretta , ma avevo dovuto desistere propio perchè non si sentiva quasi nulla. :disgusto:

Intanto arriva la nomina del coching staff:

Cavaliers Name Assistant Coaching Staff

CLEVELAND, OH - July 29, 2010 - The Cleveland Cavaliers announced today that Paul Pressey, Chris Jent, Jamahl Mosley and Joe Prunty have been named assistant coaches on Head Coach Byron Scott’s staff. The announcement was made by Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant and Head Coach Byron Scott.

Pressey comes to Cleveland with 27 seasons of NBA experience, including spending the last three seasons with the New Orleans Hornets on Coach Scott’s staff. Prior to joining New Orleans, he was an assistant coach with the Celtics as a member of Doc Rivers’ staff from 2004-06 and served as advance scout during the 2006-07 season. Pressey also spent time with the Orlando Magic (2000-04), Golden State Warriors (1992-94) and the San Antonio Spurs (1994-2000) as an assistant coach, helping the Spurs win their first-ever NBA Championship in 1999. The Richmond, VA native was selected as the 21st overall pick in the 1982 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and averaged 10.6 points, 5.6 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game over his 11-year NBA career. Pressey graduated from the University of Tulsa and helped lead the team to a 50-13 record in his two seasons with the Golden Hurricanes, including the 1981 NIT Championship.

Jent returns to the Cavaliers coaching staff for his second season as an assistant coach. He spent the previous two seasons as the director of player development/assistant coach. Before joining the Cavaliers, he was an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic during the 2004-05 season before being named Orlando’s interim head coach for the final 18 games of the season. Jent spent the 2003-04 season with the Philadelphia 76ers as assistant coach/player development. He was a member of the 1994 NBA Champion Houston Rockets and also played for the New York Knicks during the 1996-97 season. He played four seasons (1988-92) at Ohio State and helped lead the Buckeyes to three consecutive NCAA Tournaments and back-to-back Big Ten Championships in 1991 and 1992.

Mosley spent the last five seasons with the Denver Nuggets, including the final three as assistant coach/player development. Most recently, he coached the 2010 Denver Nuggets Summer League team to a 4-1 record. Mosley was a four-year letterman at the University of Colorado from 1997-2001. Following his collegiate career, he played professionally for two years in Australia for the Victoria Titans, one year in Spain with Baloncesto Leon and one year in Korea.

Prunty brings 14 years of NBA coaching experience to the team and spent the last two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. He served as an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks from 2005-08, after spending the previous nine seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. During his time with the Spurs from 1996 to 2005, they won three NBA Championships (1999, 2003 and 2005) and Prunty held three different positions including video coordinator, advance scout and assistant coach. He played collegiately at De Anza College in Cupertino, California.

On Guards

Although the Cavaliers still have a job opening to fill at small forward – (maybe you’ve read something about it) – they have quietly and gradually reshaped their backcourt this summer, their newest member making his first North Coast appearance on Thursday morning at the Cleveland Clinic Courts.
Along with big man, Ryan Hollins, new Cavaliers guard Ramon Sessions met the media and already seemed eager to get on the hardwood. And according to GM Chris Grant, if the actual courts weren’t being worked on, they newly-minted duo would have.

While some free agents have eschewed Cleveland’s offers to join the new-look Cavaliers, Sessions was excited to be part of the Wine and Gold rebirth.

“There was speculation going around that I might be coming (to Cleveland) and when I heard, I was really excited to be playing alongside Mo (Williams) again – he took me under his wing as a rookie,” said Sessions. “I’m just happy to be in this organization and like (Chris) said, I’m ready to get started right now and go today.”

The 24-year-old Sessions joins his former teammate from Milwaukee, claiming that Mo was the second person (after his agent) that he called after hearing the news. He and Mo have worked well together in the past and, in Byron Scott’s system, could form a formidable running duo again in Cleveland.

Sessions started just one game last year in Minnesota (although he played in all 82). But his numbers as a starter over the course of his career are quite impressive. In 47 games as part of the starting five, Sessions has averaged 14.7 points and 8.3 assists per contest. He’s been among the league leaders is turnover-to-assist ratio.

He and Williams could form the Cavaliers starting frontcourt this upcoming season, but there’s an entire Training Camp to sort that out.

“Me and Mo are best friends and we’re going compete,” asserted Sessions. “It’s not going to be where I come in and – just because he was my mentor – I let him get off easy. I’m going to come in here and compete and play hard.”

Chris Grant will continue to seek out players who can fit the Cavaliers culture and Byron Scott’s up-tempo style, but along with the recently-acquired Sessions, the revamped Cavaliers backcourt currently consists of …

Daniel Gibson – All Boobie did last season was finish third in the NBA in three-point shooting – a gaudy .477 from beyond the arc – and go 9-1 as the starting point guard. Entering his fifth season, Gibson’s three-point percentage has dipped below 40 percent just once (in 2008-09), but the former Longhorn is a career .424 shooter.

Sessions has attempted just 56 three-pointers in his career, so the Cavaliers will look to Boobie to continue his hot long-distance shooting. Already a physical and somewhat underrated defender, Boobie has vowed to be more aggressive on the offensive end this season. And this season, he’ll get that chance.

Christian Eyenga – Most fans have either seen Christian Eyenga on grainy film in a half-empty gym in Spain or in clips from the Vegas Summer League. But by all accounts, the uber-athletic Eyenga has a big-time skill-set that just needs time to develop.

Not yet a strong enough ball-handler or shooter, the sinewy native of the Congo will use his rookie season to learn the game, his teammates (and the language). It’s more likely that Eyenga will do some development in Erie than have an impact on the Wine and Gold. But anyone who can master five tongues in 21 years can pick up the Princeton offense.

Mo Williams – Mo’s numbers took a dip last season, following his All-Star campaign in 2008-09, but there were less shots to go around last year. This upcoming season, Williams will be expected not only to rediscover his offensive mojo from two years ago, but also to be one of the squad’s leaders.

As well as being close friends, Mo and Sessions have worked well together. There is some concern about the two starting – with Mo measuring in at 6-1 and Sessions at 6-3. But Sessions maintained in Thursday’s media that the two could work together on the floor.

Anthony Parker – In three of the last four seasons, the durable Parker hasn’t missed a single start. He started at shooting guard spot in 81 games last year, shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc while playing some strong defense against some of the game’s best two-guards.

In his second year in Cleveland, Parker will be asked to provide veteran leadership on a young team as well as add some size to a suddenly small backcourt.

Danny Green – Since his Tar Heel days, Danny Green has been known as a guy who doesn’t do anything extremely well but does everything pretty well. That versatility will come in handy for a Cavaliers club in flux.

Green showed flashes in Vegas earlier this month, but will need to keep progressing if he hopes to up his minutes from his rookie campaign. Like Gibson and the rest of his backcourt mates this season, Green should definitely get his chance.

Cavs Sign Joey Graham

CLEVELAND, OH - July 30, 2010 - The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard/forward Joey Graham to a contract, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today. Per league and team policy, terms of the contract were not announced.
Graham, 28, played in 63 games (18 starts) during the 2009-10 season with the Denver Nuggets, averaging 4.2 points on a career-high .520 shooting and 2.0 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per game. In his 18 starts, he averaged 7.4 points on .473 shooting and 3.3 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game.

“We’re excited to add Joey to our roster. He adds a tough, veteran presence on the perimeter that will complement the pieces we have in place,” said Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant. “With his strong work ethic and discipline, we feel he is a great match with the culture we have built and continue to build.”

Prior to joining the Nuggets, the 6-foot-7 guard/forward played four seasons with the Toronto Raptors. In the 2008-09 season, Graham posted career highs of 7.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 19.8 minutes over 78 games (10 starts). In the 10 starts, he averaged 11.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 28.3 minutes.

“Joining Cleveland marks an exciting, brand new start for me,” said Graham. “This is a great opportunity and I’m excited to come in and help the team as much as possible.”

In his career, the five-year veteran has played in 338 games, including 76 starts, and averaged 6.0 points and 2.9 rebounds. He has shot .815 from the free-throw line and .485 from the field.
Game Over, bye-bye.
