Quasi... è Jerry DiPoto, ex Major Leaguer ed attualmente Direttore del "personale giocatori", un titolo strano che in pratica lo rendeva responsabile di tutte le attività di coordinamento di scouting e player development. Una specie di vice-GM per vari motivi.
Sarà GM ad interim. E' molto bravo ed intelligente, ma ovviamente un conto è essere bravi ed intelligenti ed un conto è essere GM in MLB. Vedremo se andrà bene.

Non esattamente. Il mio capo è il direttore dello scouting internazionale. In più c'è il direttore dello scouting interno e c'è il direttore del player development. Lui era il capo di questi 3, coordinandoli e supervisionando le loro attività. A livello di operazioni prettamente attinenti al baseball era a tutti gli effetti il numero 2 assoluto dietro Byrnes, mentre Woodfork (l'assistente al GM) si occupa prevalentemente di questioni amministrative ed economiche.

Io spesso ho dovuto comunicare con Jerry perchè ovviamente cadevo sotto il suo "ombrello", ma non era il mio capo diretto.

Ah, fantastico. Per me i migliori sono Ryan Howard (che Manuel ha scelto davanti a Votto - per favore non fate paragoni fra OPS, wRC+ e WAR perchè sono tragicomici - perchè è "il suo uomo") e soprattutto il fantastico Omar Infante. Infante non è un everyday player per Atlanta ed ha 96 OPS+. Non è un everyday player, ma è un All-Star.

E c'è gente che vede la presenza ad un ASG come segno di forza/bravura/meriti.

E niente Jered Weaver :lol2:
