considerando che è solo un rumor, ho riportato quello che hanno scritto:
le pretese son molto inferiori(1a e 3a) perchè i Saints, son consapevoli di non riuscir a rifirmarlo.....vedremo!

In a swap of former first-round picks who didn't live up to expectations, the Dallas Cowboys traded linebacker Bobby Carpenter to the St. Louis Rams for tackle Alex Barron, a source said Monday.

Next on the Cowboys' agenda is to extend the contracts of two of their restricted free agents: wide receiver Miles Austin and strong safety Gerald Sensabaugh. Jones said he would like to sign both to long-term deals.

Loro avevano bisogno di un LB, e nella 4-3 magari Carpenter tornerà un giocatore presentabile, mentre noi abbiamo un disperato bisogno di OL, e contando che il contratto di Barron non è garantito, il rischio è basso, anche perchè lo riceviamo in cambio di un giocatore che faceva gli special teams, giocava sporadiche situazioni di passaggio ed era pure in odore di taglio dopo la scelta di Williams l'anno scorso e di Lee quest'anno.

ecco il calendario del TC che quest'anno si dividerà tra San Antonio e Oxnard:

July 24th - August 6th: The Cowboys will kickoff camp in San Antonio, fulfilling their contractual obligations to that city signed a few years ago.

August 8th: Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio against the Bengals.

August 9th-11th: Back to Dallas for a brief stop while preparing for a preseason game.

August 12th: Preseason game against the Raiders.

August 14th - 27th: The Cowboys fly out to Oxnard, California for two-weeks to finish up camp. During that stretch, they'll squeeze in a road preseason game against the Chargers.

August 28th: Preseason game against the Texans in Houston.

Non tutti i tagli vengono per nuocere:
The Cowboys will cut G/C Cory Procter on Monday.
Procter, a backup interior lineman, signed his non-guaranteed restricted free agent tender last month so that he could be trade bait during draft weekend. But the Cowboys found no takers, so they let him go. Montrae Holland and Travis Bright are candidates to back up Andre Gurode at center now.

Tagliato Procter, il nostro offensive lineman più scarso, senza ombra di dubbio, ogni volta che scendeva in campo era una disgrazia. Non correremo più il pericolo, bene.

Qualche osservazione dal OTA:
Holland, nonostante l'anno scorso sia stato sempre inattivo, sarà il cambio delle G
Kosier, visto il taglio di Procter, stà lavorando per il ruolo di backup center
Jason Williams e Sean Lee stanno lavorando al posto di Brooking nel ruolo di ILB; Brooking si era sottoposto ad un intervento
al ginocchio qualche giorno fà. S.Hodge non sarà "arruolabile" per il ruolo fino ai TC.
Per il ruolo di FS ci sarebbe già il candidato numero 1: Alan Ball

“He's going to be great, man. I've never seen a young guy come in the first day (and play like that). Usually guys need a day to get into it.”


RW11 su Dez:
“Once he learns it (playing receiver in the pros), the sky is going to be the limit,”

Su Lee:
Choice: "a lot of rookies are good dez looked good but I'm really impressed with sean the lb"

Brooking:
"I've been around him for a few days and I see that he's a very intense player,"....."He plays the game 100 miles an hour, and that's the way it's supposed to be played. He's very talented. He's an intelligent football player, I think he's picked up the defense fairly easily considering what they've thrown at him in this three-day period.

Brett Maxie, S coach, è rimasto favorevolmente impressionato dal UDFA Barry Church...della stessa opinione Jason Witten “No. 42” as a guy who standing out.

Secondo OTA, ma P.Crayton non si vede...ecco le parole del suo agente

Nel pre/post draft aveva richiesto di esser ceduto ma non ha molti estimatori(secondo le valutazioni di JJ & C)
Forse sarà l'occasione buona per valutare in particolare Ogletree! e gli altri WRs
