Ed ecco il quadro della situazione:

- Ben Sheets appears to be the team's top target, according to Ken Davidoff of Newsday.
The Mets have been in touch with Sheets since watching him throw Tuesday, according to Anthony McCarron of the New York Daily News.

- Alan Nero, one of Chien-Ming Wang's representatives, tells McCarron that the Mets are one of 15 teams interested in the former Yankee.

- McCarron hears that the Mets have had discussions about Chad Tracy.

A quel punto si che il ruolo di C sarebbe ben coperto: Santos, Snyder, Blanco, Coste e Thole.... di 5 non ne fanno uno!

Jon Heyman dice che i Mets abbiano preso Gary Matthews dagli Angels.

Hanno appena dato 5 milioni a Francoeur. Nelle altre due posizioni hanno Bay e Beltran. Hanno Pagan. Fernando Martinez.

E vanno a prendere uno degli OF più scarsi... un peso per gli Angels che non sapevano come disfarsene, da usare come quarto OF? Non ha un briciolo di senso. Spero per i Mets che gli Angels paghino tutto il contratto (pare che paghino solo il 50-60%) e che ci sia altro nell'affare, tipo uno SP da LA a NYM... ed in cambio solo un PTBNL.

L'affare sembra che sia stato fatto perchè Beltran dovrebbe rientrare a metà aprile, quindi per le prime 2 settimane non si fidano di Pagan o Fernando Martinez o altro. Sono senza parole.

seriamente vedrete, magari non oggi, cmq prima delle St uno tra Sheets,Bedard, Pedro o Smoltz lo prendono, è impossibile che rimangano, rimaniate così!

L'escalation su Twitter è impressionante... gli Yankees si stanno sfogando e divertendo un mondo.

Intanto l'interesse per Snyder è vero e non scherzavo (scherzavo su Mejia però).
I Mets sono anche interessati a Chad Tracy.

I Jays hanno firmato Shawn Hill, canadese reduce da 2 Tommy John.

Gary Matthews Jr had a -0.8 WAR in 2008 and 2009. Over the last two years, he was worth -$7.4 million.

nel 2009 Pagan può prendersi 343 AB e nel 2010 non può giocare un mese al posto di Beltan? Bizzarro...
