Kobe Bryant tops Sporting News’ list of the 50 greatest players in the NBA today, as selected by a panel of 107 Hall of Famers, major award winners, executives, current players and coaches and other basketball experts. Bryant beat out LeBron James for the No. 1 spot and received 62 first-place votes. James received 34 first-place votes, and Dwyane Wade, who was third on the list, received 11 first-place votes. Dwight Howard was fourth, and Tim Duncan fifth. Effettivamente vedere questo Brand e non i vari Jamison, Butler, G.Wallace e Jefferson fa un po strano

e poi onestamente leverei quelli che non hanno fatto un tubo fin'ora quest'anno come yao,tmac e redd e mi sembra immeritatissimo l'inserimento di villanueva, di brand e dell'arenas di quest'anno, perlomeno così in alto...

mi sembra una classifica fatta a cazzo di cane. già mettere howard davanti a duncan è una bestemmia. e po,i villanueva davanti a redd e soprattutto bynum? mcgrady non gioca da un'anno e mezzo, che ci fa lì? ginobili ha fatto un'annata orrenda e non sta giocando granchè bene nemmeno ora, tra i primi 25? nemmeno nel 2007 probabilmente, figuriamoci ora. parker davanti a brandon roy? mi fermo che è meglio...

Ritengo queste classifiche piuttosto futili. Comunque questa è stata fatta all' insegna dell' illogica e dell' incoerenza, perchè non rappresenta nè i valarori assoluti(mancano Butler,Jamison, Iverson ecc...) nè la situazione attuale (Yao non c'è in questa stagione TMac non ha ancora giocato, Arenas e Brand stanno facendo abbastanza pena ecc...).

Lo dico ora, dicembre 2009, e per quanto mi riguarda sarà sicuramente valido fino almeno al 2020: qualsiasi classifica dei migliori giocatori NBA che non preveda Kevin Durant nelle prime 10 non merita lettura.

Ma dipende anche dai parametri della classifica. Se ti basi sugli ultimi 5 anni allora c'ha Dirk, Nash, Kidd, Carter, O'Neal, Bryant, Wade, James, Duncan e Garnett davanti.
