Tornando al caso Villalona:

pare che abbia dato circa 50mila dollari alla famiglia e non di più (di cui una parte consistente agli avvocati difensori... tutto confermato dalla madre del morto). Hanno ritirato l'accusa. Il PM però ha detto che continuerà a perseguirlo a nome della cittadinanza, anche se a questo punto stanno iniziando a sparire i testimoni.

Quindi per una famiglia, 50mila dollari (anzi, circa 35mila una volta tolti i soldi dell'avvocato) bastano per la vita di un ragazzo. Vediamo come finisce, ma oggi è stato liberato dalla prigione (dopo quasi 2 mesi).

Un suo compagno di franchigia, Garrett Broshuis, esprime i suoi pensieri. Paragoni con la vita di Roger Cedeno.

Sapevo del contrattone a Zito ma non che ne prendesse 18 :sbadat: si quest'anno e' andato meglio degli anni scorsi ma quel 18 resta mostruoso...

Priorita': infield corner, catcher, backup 2b/ss (se non resta Uribe)

Non so se è gia pronto per fare l'everyday catcher, l'ideale sarebbe affiancargli un veterano (lo stesso Molina ad un prezzo ragionevole o qualcun altro) e farlo giocare anche da 1B o da OF. Per il resto la priorità è una mazza pesante, a prescindere dal ruolo: Bay, Holliday e Uggla i nomi che circolano. Poi rifirmare Penny e Uribe al giusto prezzo.

Considerazioni di Sabean su mercato, non sembra esserci nulla di allegro:

* Sabean said the market "right now is as slow or slower than last year in developing."'
* The Giants made a one year offer to Brad Penny, and offered one year plus an option to Juan Uribe last week. Both were declined.
* Sabean added that catcher Bengie Molina "probably has been offered" a multi-year deal by another team, which would essentially guarantee he isn't coming back to San Francisco.
* Even though there might be some interesting "secondary free agents,'' as Sabean called them, he says they may not make as much sense as giving their own young players a chance.
* "In a perfect world, you'd love to have (Madison) Bumgarner and (Buster) Posey burst on the scene,'' Sabean said. "But you don't want to rush them. So you keep at it, at the grindstone, and be ready when the best opportunities pop.''
* Sabean mentions that they're "willing to go at the pace of the marketplace and show more patience," adding that people shouldn't read anything into it if nothing happens during the Winter Meetings next week.

raga lo so che è un po off topic però devo capire cdome funziona il meccanismo dell'ora....I giants qui in italia per esempio su mlb tv a che ora li vedete se sulla schedule americana c'è scritto che giocano alle 13?
