Inizio' la stagione come terzo, ma poi soffio' il posto di secondo proprio a Detmer.
Ha fatto la sua fortuna lontano da GB.

Hai perfettamente ragione, ma con Favre sarebbe stata dura per chiunque, ed ovviamente tutti i vari Qb di talento che sono passati in questi anni è stato giusto che abbiano avuto spazio in altre franchigie, dove molti di loro hanno fatto veramente bene (Hasselbeck, Brooks, Brunnell..........)

Rifirmato Navies, che con Barnett e Diggs andrà a riformare il trio di LB titolari della scorsa stagione. Rilasciato anche il LB Steve Josue.

Brett Favre sembra non essere d'accordo con la scelta di Javon Walker di mettersi holdout!

Favre, 35, expressed his disappointment with Walker during a telephone interview from his Hattiesburg, Miss., home. He said he was upset when he heard Walker intended to sit out the season if the Packers don’t renegotiate his contract.

Favre said Walker’s holdout reminded him of Sterling Sharpe’s decision to hold out the night before the Packers hosted the Vikings in the 1994 season opener.

“Nowadays you’re seeing more and more guys pulling that stunt,” he said. “If guys continue to do that and are successful getting away with it, then I’ll be gone, but I think the game will be ruined. My reaction to Javon’s situation was ‘Here we go again.’

“Javon has tremendous potential. We got to see some of that last year. The sky’s the limit for that guy, and I’d be the first to defend him, but he’s going about it the wrong way. What happened to honoring your contract and saying, ‘Let’s work as a team to see if we can get this done?’ Why not go about it that way?

“Maybe I’m old-school, but I always thought you honor a contract. Sure, sometimes guys pass you up in salary, and maybe it’s a lesser player, but it’s all based on what a team has as far as value in that person.”

Purtroppo troppi giocatori dopo una stagione alle stelle vogliono monetizzare subito e se ne fregano della squadra...tipo McCardell l'anno scorso, o Owens a Cisco e ora a Phila, gente che non merita nessun onore...

Di esempio possono essercene anche altri...

Trotter , Douglas e Burgess agli Eagles se ne sono andati solo per soldi..
2 anni avuto stagioni di merda e sono tornati, uno probabilmente si ricorderà che bel posto tranquillo era "The City of The Brothery Love"...

Favre è un duro, non accetta certe cose dai compagni. Come ha detto lui stesso è uno "old-school" che rispetta il suo contratto fino in fondo.
Secondo me il grande Brett giocherebbe anche gratis, è per quello che non tollera queste cose.
Il punto di vista di Walker è comprensibile se pensiamo che prenderà 500.000 dollari nel 2005 e 600.000 nel 2006 dopo aver fatto il pro bowl, ma non credo si possa lamentare di queste cifre.
Il vero problema è che c'è qualche ricevitore che prende ben più di lui ed ha numeri inferiori e finchè la situazione non cambia ci sarà sempre da battagliare tra giocatori e proprietari.
Vorrei far notare che l'agente di Walker è Drew Rosenhaus, ovvero lo stesso che fece andare Mike McKenzie in holdout un anno fa, e sapete tutti com'è andata a finire.
