Schonert dice che Jauron gli ha chiesto continue semplificazioni al sistema, e arriva a ironizzare dicendo che voleva un attacco da Pop Warner. Sostiene di essere stato continuamente limitato nelle formazioni e nei giochi.

D'altra parte, una fonte interna ad obd e di solito ben informata (per esempio aveva anticipato Maybin come pick #11, e anche la recente trade di Simpson, seppur di poche ore) dice che:

- La decisione e' stata al 100% di Jauron, che ha poi chiesto l'OK a Russ Brandon e Ralph Wilson
- pare che DJ volesse un attacco aggressivo, poco prevedibile e "up-tempo" (con cambi di ritmo). Schonert avrebbe invece trasformato questa richiesta in uno stile West Coast, muovere la catena, guaddagni corti, pochi rischi. Trent, preso in mezzo, non ci ha capito una mazza  :lol2:
- Sembra anche che DJ volesse dare il carico delle chiamate a Edwards (per questo la "semplificazione") mentre Schonert voleva tenere per se' la prerogativa.

Di certo a questo punto NE non ha la minima idea di cosa si trovera' davanti in attacco (non che abbiano bisogno di saperlo per batterci...)
Infine, ci si aspettano altre trade dell'ultimo minuto.

Tagliato Rhodes. 

In yet another offensive shakeup for the Buffalo Bills, veteran running back Dominic Rhodes was cut Saturday as the team trimmed the roster to 53, according to a source with knowledge of the move.

Rhodes, who spent seven of his eight NFL seasons with Indianapolis, was signed this summer to provide depth after the league suspended starting tailback Marshawn Lynch for three games. Rhodes saw limited action in the preseason, rushing just 19 times for 64 yards and a touchdown. He also had two fumbles. Rhodes was listed as third on the depth chart behind Lynch and Fred Jackson.

andiamo alla prima con Lynch sospeso per tre gare, Jackson mezzo acciaccato e Omon infortunato(comunque è un incognita totale)..

Non capisco, ok Rhodes non aveva fatto molto in preseason, ma con lui tutto l'attacco! Forse e' una questione di "schieramenti interni", non so. Certo che se non pescano qualcosa al volo andare contro NE con Omon come RB#2 mi pare proprio una vaccata.

Nel frattempo pare che Wilson abbia convocato Brandon, Jauron e il resto dei coach dell'attacco a casa sua a Detroit (e,si, il vecchio Ralph abita a Detroit, e questo spiega molte cose, temo). Si suppone che cerchi di capirci qualcosa anche lui.

Comincia a trapelare qualche voce sul fatto che ci fosse gia' stato qualche dissenso da parte dei giocatori sull'operato di Schonert. Tutto lasciato molto sul vago, "we had concerns", "we voiced it", cose cosii'.

Come spesso capita, Lee Evans e' stato quello che ha detto le cose piu' chiare:

Wide receiver Lee Evans said the coaching change was made because "things weren't getting done the right way.''
"I think everybody had some concerns about it,'' he said. "It was one of those things when you play games like that it leaves a type of feeling in your mouth, you always wonder if there's something wrong and you want to do things to fix it. So, two back-to-back games of not playing well always causes some concern.''

Anche Edwards non mi pare tanto dispiaciuto dalla mossa, e pare effettivamente che tra lui e Schonert proprio non stesse funzionando. Entrambi i giocatori sembrano invece molto contenti della decisione di mettere Van Pelt come nuovo OC.

TO invece ci scherza sopra, ha chiesto scusa perche' tanto, dice, per questo genere di cose la colpa di solito la si da' a lui.
