Bah.

Bah.

Angyair wrote: Notizia molto sorprendente.

Re: Baltimore Ravens [Volume Secondo] - Offseason
Terrell Suggs, who never minded playing under one-year franchise tags, found the financial security he was looking for Wednesday when he agreed to a six-year, $63 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens, according to a source.
The key to the contract was the structure. Suggs will receive signing bonus and option bonus money that will total $33.1 million in 2009 and 2010, according to a source. That is believed to be second only to Peyton Manning, who received a $34 million signing bonus. Defensive end Dwight Freeney received $31.5 million in signing and option bonus money during the first two years of his contract with the Colts. Freeney and Suggs were both represented by Gary Wichard.

Re: Baltimore Ravens [Volume Secondo] - Offseason
Hackett. Non si svelano i nomi degli altri 3.
Dal sito ufficiale:
According to Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta, former Carolina Panther and Seattle Seahawk D.J. Hackett will be one of four receivers to try out on Friday.
“We can confirm that D.J. will be here,” DeCosta stated.
The Ravens did not release the names of the other contenders.
In the wake of Derrick Mason’s sudden retirement announcement, Baltimore has a need for depth at wideout.
Hackett, 6-foot-2, 208 pounds was scheduled to try out for the Ravens earlier this offseason, but canceled because of family issues and a visit with the Houston Texans.
Hackett, 28, caught 13 passes for 181 yards in nine games last year for the Panthers. He spent his first four NFL seasons with Seattle, but was placed on Injured Reserve as a rookie with a hip injury. The fifth-round draft pick out of the University of Colorado averaged 35 receptions, 464.7 yards and three touchdowns over the past three years.
The Ravens held a tryout of three receivers in mid-May of a group that included Kelley Washington, Tab Perry and Jerry Porter. After a solid showing, Washington ended up earning a one-year contract.
Now, with Mason perhaps walking away from the game following his 12th season, the Ravens could use more bodies to compete behind Mark Clayton and Demetrius Williams in training camp.
In a conference call last week, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh said that he plans on meeting with Mason this week as he returns from vacation.
Harbaugh also said that there is no guarantee the Ravens will add a player because he feels comfortable with the players already on the roster.
“We’re always looking at every available player that’s out there,” Harbaugh noted. “We know who’s out there at every single position, and we’re always working the roster. So, obviously if Derrick does retire, that’s going to perk us up even more as far as strengthening that position like we will any position.
“But, you can only do so much. There are only so many guys out there available, and a lot of what we do is developing the players that we have. We think we have good players here, too.”
Training camp opens in Westminster, Md., for rookies, quarterbacks and selected veterans on Monday, July 27.
