Alex Smith "didn't look sharp" and his passes "wobbled" in the 49ers' pre-draft minicamp, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Another report claimed Smith showed good velocity, which is most important as he recovers from multiple throwing-arm surgeries. Still, it's possible that the operations have cost Smith some accuracy. He already lacked great arm strength and any loss of precision would be very concerning.
L'opinione e' di Lynch, ma Maiocco risponde cosi' sul suo blog:
Myself, Matt Barrows (Sac Bee), John Crumpacker (SF Chronicle) and Dan Brown (SJ Merc) were the only reporters to watch both days of practices at minicamp last month. As I reported here, the minicamp was a positive first step for Smith. A week or so earlier, the club and he agreed to a two-year contract that will pay him backup money of about $3.5 million a year. --Matt M.
Un tifoso riporta anche che:
Kevin Lynch does that ALL THE TIME. Last year he reported that Cameron Colvin was not playing well in mini-camp practices and had not done anything to stand out. Problem was, Colvin was still up at Oregon waiting for the NFL graduation date rules to pass. As you all remember, he joined the team weeks late because of the NFL rules and Oregon's late graduation date. Lynch has been around the team a long time, but I get the sense all of his reporting these days is hearsay and info he gets from Crumcrackhead. Its disappointing and makes me really appreciate what we have here in MM.
