Un altro nostro FA, il TE Billy Bajema, si accasa altove, precisamente ai Rams; non è una grossa perdita ma a questo punto è probabile l'arrivo di un TE al prossimo draft negli ultimi giri.
Sempre in tema di draft, secondo Maiocco nei prossimi giorni saranno in visita a Santa Clara Michael Crabtree e B.J. Raji.

Annunciato infine il calendario delle partite di preseason:

Week 1: vs. Denver
Week 2: vs. Oakland
Week 3: at Dallas
Week 4: at San Diego

Maiocco dice che Stafford non è più nella lista di possibili scelte a causa di una pessima intervista alle combine.

By the way, the worst rumor I've heard is that the 49ers have taken Matthew Stafford off their draft board. The whole thing about the team psychologist interviewing Stafford at the combine is simply not a big deal. I think Stafford tried to crack a joke about the situation in a recent issue of Sports Illustrated, and the quote has taken on a life of its own.
