Don Germaise, of WFTS-TV, reports former NFL RB Travis Henry (Broncos) has been put behind bars for failure to pay child support. Henry, who was jailed a week ago, must spend 179 days in jail unless he is able to come up with $16,600 in back child support. He is officially charged with contempt of court. He is awaiting trial on federal drug charges after an arrest in September.

So why would some of America's best and brightest invest $30 million on this project? It's pretty simple. They are betting NFL owners will screw up labor talks in the next two years and have a lockout in 2011. If the NFL loses in labor, the UFL may win. If the NFL players are locked out, the UFL can offer them a home.

Potrebbe lanciarli, ma un progetto che si basa su un lockout della Nfl quanto può durare? Devono guardare oltre per sopravvivere, e collaborare. La Nfl spero abbia imparato dalle altre (Mlb e Nhl), un blocco dei campionati sarebbe devastante (per me in primis). La Ufl aiuterebbe a superare il momento e ne trarrebbe vantaggio, ma dopo? Benché la Nfl possa perdere in credibilità, affetto e fiducia tornerebbe immediatamente la prima lega al mondo, la storia, il pubblico, i tifosi sarebbe lì per lei. E comunque spero ancora che il lockout venga evitato anche se, a questo punto, mi pare necessario di tanto in tanto negli sport usa. Chissà perché...

Sarei stato curioso di capire chi ci avrebbero dato i Titans in cambio di Holt, nella situazione disperata in cui ci trovavamo (nel senso che cmq lo sapevano anche i ratti (cit.) che sarebbe stato tagliato entro il 17). Secondo me non più di una sesta scelta. Magari pescavamo un Tom Brady, magari un Gradkowski.

An NFL player has been questioned after he accidentally drove into a pedestrian who died Saturday morning on the eastbound MacCarthur Causeway on Miami Beach, according to Det. Juan Sanchez of the City of Miami Beach.

Donte Stallworth, 28, is an eight-year pro NFL wide receiver.

He's played with the New England Patriots, and had an agreed to terms of a seven-year, $35-million contract with the Browns, $10-million of which is guaranteed.

Stallworth's best overall season was in 2005, when he caught 70 passes for 945 yards and seven touchdowns as a member of the New Orlean Saints.

According to the police report, the accident happened at the intersection of Fisher Island Drive and the MacCarthur Causeway.

The Drive is where ferry access is provided to one of the most exclusive residences in America, Fisher Island.

The victim's named has not yet been released.

Stallworth non era nè ubriaco né drogato. la persona investita era vicino alle strisce, ma non è ancora chiaro se stesse attraversando legalmente o meno
