a memoria mi sembra che l'ultimo RB strapagato via FA è James gli altri o sono nel contratto da rookie o in qualche spalmamento...se non ho sparato una cazzata credo che il motivo sia proprio le poche spese folli sui RB

No no...Peppers l'anno scorso è stato il DE più pagato della Lega (> 13mil).
Il tag non può comportare una "diminuzione di stipendio"; quindi si applica la regola del 20%, ossia il tag nel suo caso è pari al suo salario 2008 + il 20%. Praticamente Julius da taggato si porterebbe a casa 17 milioncini puliti puliti.

Occhio... Rosenhaus ha inviato mail a tutte le franchigie Nfl avvertendo che i suoi assistiti Plaxico Burress, Chad Johnson e Anquan Boldin hanno chiesto di essere inseriti in una trade. Solo che le squadre che possiedono il cartellino dei sopracitati non hanno mai dato autorizzazione all'agente di cominciare a trattare lo scambio. Ciò significa che se qualche franchigia oggi contattasse lo squalo per avere informazioni sull'acquisizione del giocatore commetterebbe un reato.

Bills' Lynch arrested on gun charge in Southern California

CULVER CITY, Calif. -- Authorities say Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch has been arrested in Southern California on a weapons possession charge.

Culver City police said in a statement Sunday that Lynch was arrested after officers confronted him and two other men in a car and found a loaded firearm in the vehicle.

Lynch was arrested Wednesday for possession of a concealed firearm after officers determined the gun belonged to him. He was released that night on $35,000 bail.

Culver City police did not immediately return a phone message seeking information about why officers first confronted Lynch and his companions.

Lynch's lawyer, M. Gerald Schwartzbach, said his client was not involved in a traffic accident and was in California visiting friends.

"This incident did not involve any violence," Schwartzbach told the NFL Network. "Although I am in the process of gathering facts, my current understanding is that the weapon wasn't on Marshawn's person, he was not driving. This weapon was in the trunk."

The Bills also released a statement acknowledging the arrest.

"We can confirm that Marshawn was arrested in California and has retained an attorney," Bills vice president of communications Scott Berchtold said in the statement. "We are in the process of trying to gather the facts and will not offer a comment while that process is ongoing."

The incident marks Lynch's second run-in with the law in the past year. Last summer he was the subject of a hit-and-run investigation in Buffalo. Lynch paid a $100 fine in a plea agreement and avoided any penalties from the NFL

La lista non l'ho trovata, ma in questo articolo di Pat Kirwan c'è un recap con le squadre che hanno già/stanno per/potrebbero taggare i propri free agent chiave.

uhm, a questo punto i Jaguars potrebbero puntare decisi ad un RB, perchè non credo che MoJo, anche se è un giocatore straordinario, possa tenere da solo in piedi il backfield di JAX. Se LJ e Jacobs sono liberi la situazione si fa interessante...
