La linea rossa è quella del tackle, per essere un intentional grounding il QB deve essere all'interno di quella linea. Vedete un pò voi dov'è mentre lancia la palla...

In realtà è possibile beccarsi l'intentional grounding anche quando si è al di fuori dei tackle. Se il forward pass non supera la linea o non si avvicina alla LoS.

Intentional grounding will not be called when a passer, while outside the tackle position
and facing an imminent loss of yardage, throws a forward pass that lands near or
beyond the line of scrimmage, even if no offensive player(s) have a realistic chance to
catch the ball (including if the ball lands out of bounds over the sideline or endline).

E' capitato durante l'amichevole della mia squadra. Era talmente sotto pressione il QB che è partita una foglia morta che è caduta prima della LoS e si è beccato l'intentional grounding.

Farrior è il capitano della difesa, quello che ha la radio nel casco e chiama gli assegnamenti. Questo tanto per cominciare. Ah e visto che siamo in argomento ieri sul td di Ben Patrick secondo me non si poteva difendere molto meglio: bravi Kurt e il suo TE.

In teoria quindi Foote dovrebbe essere lo Strong Linebacker, mentre Farrior il Weak Linebacker. O sbaglio?

Da quel che ho capito infatti il SILB è quello che dovrebbe occuparsi più delle corse...

Al college ha avuto numeri da capogiro, uno dei migliori passer puri di tutta la NCAA; lanciare sa lanciare, però credo che tu intendessi che il sistema di Pittsburgh gli consente tranquillamente di lanciare un po' meno, visto che è sempre stato poggiato su ottimi RB.
Inoltre adesso con Mendenhall che rientra di carne al fuoco, visto la presenza di FastWillie e Mewelde, ce ne sarà parecchia....senza dimenticare Russell, altro bel runner...

Durante la partita e' apparsa una statistica secondo me impressionante: dal 1980 e qualche cosa gli Steelers hanno perso una (UNA) sola partita dopo essere andati avanti di 11 punti.

Cosa significa tutto cio'?
Che questi da anni e anni hanno una difesa SUPER. La cosa che piu' impressiona e' la capacita' di mantenere questo reparto a livelli eccelsi sempre, con continuita'.
I titoli poi sono arrivati quando hanno trovato un grande QB, capace di giocare bene quando conta e di "mascherare" i problemi dalla proprio OL con la mobilita' e la maestria nel trovare l'uomo giusto anche sotto pressione.
