Un anno fa la partita Pats@Colts era la più attesa per vari motivi da tutti noi tifosi.
La partita di domani,purtroppo,ha perso un pò di fascino.

The Patriots announced that five players have been downgraded to out for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, a group that includes RB LaMont Jordan (right calf).

The complete list of downgraded players who will not play is:

RB LaMont Jordan

RB Sammy Morris

CB Lewis Sanders

S Matthew Slater

OLB Shawn Crable

Jordan had limited participation in practice throughout the week and was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report (50-50 chance of playing). Morris, Sanders and Crable were listed as doubtful, while Slater was questionable.

Without Jordan and Morris, the Patriots will enter with just three healthy running backs for the second straight game -- Kevin Faulk, BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Heath Evans.

With Sanders out for the second straight game, the Patriots lose a player who could have been an important part of their nickel package.

Secondo me abbiamo fatto una bella partito sino alla penalità di Thomas, che ci ha proprio spezzato le gambe. Il gameplan offensivo è stato ottimo, siamo rimasti molto in campo, abbiamo dato pochi drive a Manning (che era in giornata), riuscivamo ad avanzare regolarmente ed infatti mi sembra che abbiamo avuto solo un punt nel primo quarto.
Se in quel drive non ci fosse stata quella penalità penso che come minimo avremmo potuto pareggiare. L'unica pecca di questa offense è stato che nella redzone abbiamo fatto un solo TD, e ci siamo mangiati due grandi occasioni, questa in particolare:

1-10-IND 39 (:31) (Shotgun) 16-M.Cassel pass incomplete deep left to 10-J.Gaffney.
0-0- Timeout #3 by NE at 11:38.

Tutt'e due nello stesso drive, che poi è finito con un field goal. Il drop è costato un TD, il timeout una conversione di 4th down...

La difesa invece ha fatto una grandissima partita sul running game, ma non ha mai messo sotto pressione Manning che nei pochi drive avuti ha massimizzato i profitti. Weathley che stava giocando una signora partita è uscito infortunato, gli infortuni continuano...

Ora le cose non si mettono molto bene. La lotta per una wild card è durissima, e noi abbiamo già perso con Chargers, Colts e Dolphins, tutte e tre rivali di conference. Il trittico di partite che ci aspetta è davvero duro, speriamo bene.

praticamente il timeout che BB ha chiamato correndo mentre stavano per convertire il 4th &1?
io non l'ho tanto capito.. a parte che l'azione per un attimo è partita ed avrebbero convertito senza lo stop...

Praticamente i coaches credevano fosse 4th & inches, invece si era rivelato 4th & 1, così hanno pensato che la formazione che era meglio mettere punti a tabellone che tentare la QB Snake.

che però mi pare era passata...boh vabbè..pazienza...
anche il 3rd 16 dopo il fallo di thomas con la palla tirata a faulk che era una yard più avanti con già tre difensori che lo circondavano non l'ho proprio compresa fino in fondo
