hai ragione, servirebbe tantissimo per accaparrarselo in termini di farm...gli yankees forse non se lo possono permettere, perchè ricadrebbero nello stesso circolo vizioso degli ultimi anni, cioè svuotare l'intera farm per giocatori affermati. Però squadre come i Braves, i Dodgers o anche i Red Sox in teoria potrebbero permetterselo un pò di più degli yankees.

Certo, preferisco il pitcher affermato di AL pure io; stavo più che altro parlando della possibilità che C.C. resti in NL/Milwaukee. Cioè peavy come piano B, perchè se vi sfugge C.C., allora rimangono solo sheets, burnett e lowe. I primi due sono notoriamente injury prone. Al terzo un ritorno in AL sicuramente provocherebbe un' impennata nelle stats e nella prestazione molto più elevata di peavy (in teoria dovrebbe essere così almeno).

In termini di K/BB sicuramente non eccelle sicuramente...però è in linea con i vari webb, danks, kuroda, pettitte e poco lontano da gente come lincecum, lackey o santana. Certo c'è da stare attenti a comparare pitchers di AL e NL, ma mi pare che si stia un pò sottovalutando Peavy, dipingendolo come un lanciatore buono, ma non un asso. Forse non sarà un asso di primo livello in AL (anche se abbiamo visto che un passaggio in AL non deve necessariamente peggiorare le prestazioni a lungo termine...Beckett docet).
Ovviamente beneficia alla grande di PETCO, che porrà un' ulteriore difficoltà in un passaggio nella AL. Però avrà il vantaggio di una difesa nettamente più forte.

ma la ragione per cui è considerato più facile lanciare in NL che AL?
il momento storico che vede tecnicamente davanti l'AL?
o il fatto che non c'è il DH?

Beh, entrambe. I lineup delle squadre forti di AL sono superiori, ed in più ci sono 9 battitori veri invece di 8+1

la stagione è appena finita ora è tempo di prendere quello che ci serve per ritornare ad alti livelli, considerando che nella conference ora c'è pure tampa bisogna fare veramente un ottimo lavoro.

The New York Post reports that the Yankees plan to offer Bobby Abreu arbitration.
By doing so the Yankees would receive draft picks if he signs elsewhere and the newspaper notes that the team would be open to bringing him back on a one-year deal. Abreu has said previously that he'd like to remain in New York, but should be able to get multi-year offers on the open market.
