Licenziato Isaac!
Su Jhonny in terza:
Jhonny Peralta to third, Asdrubal Cabrera to short: "It's not working off of Jhonny. It's working off of what's available and what's the best fit for us. At some point, I do feel Jhonny is going to end up at third base and Asdrubal will be at shortstop."
Bullpen:
Guaranteed bullpen spots in 2009: "The sure things are Rafael Betancourt, Jensen Lewis, Masa Kobayashi and Rafael Perez."
Barfield:
"It's hard to lock him in for the second base job. But he will come to camp and compete for a job."
Garko:
"Instead of saying, 'I had a great year, I tied for the team lead in RBI (90),' he needs to say, 'I did OK, but I need to do better.' "I think he's capable of being a part of this. He can be an everyday player or a role player, depending on which guy shows up. ... It's nothing I haven't said to him."
Choo:
"He looks to be an everyday outfielder, but you can't base everything on 2 1/2 months."
Kelly Shoppach e Victor Martinez:
"To have both of them competing at catcher, one of them being able to play first base and both of them being able to DH, I like that. If someone blows our doors off [in a trade offer], we'll have to look, but right now they're both coming to spring training on this ballclub."
ed infine sui partenti:
Fausto Carmona: "He never really caught up this year because of the injury. ... I expect him to be a consistent starter next year."
Starters Aaron Laffey, Jeremy Sowers, Scott Lewis, Anthony Reyes and Zach Jackson: "Reyes was more impressive than anybody that came over [in trades]. I think Laffey will come back and have a good year. ... Jackson and Lewis caught our attention. We have to iron it out when we get to spring training.
"A big part of that will be whether or not we acquire anybody this winter. ... Sowers is in that mix too. So is David Huff.
Oltre altre solite, ovvie, cose ha detto anche cose davvero
agghiaccianti, tipo:
Closer:
Acquiring a closer: "We want to go out and get a closer so we have two options at that spot. Jensen Lewis did a good job for us on a short-term basis.
Ottimo! Punto.
David Dellucci: "As of right now, he'll be back."
:sbadat:
e soprattutto questa:
Matt LaPorta: "I don't expect him to make the club out of spring training. It sounds like he'll get our attention."
Benissimo, bella prospettiva per il ragazzo, togliamogli subito le speranze, facciamone un altro Ben Francisco e portiamo all'
opening day Dellucci e magari firmiamo Corey Patterson o
Scott Podsednik...
Ciao
