Pare che i Warriors siano interessati ad uno dei nostri RFA, non si tratta però di Iguodala bensì di Lou Williams. Non è comunque ancora chiaro se Golden State, dopo la firma di Turiaf, abbia veramente le possibilità economiche di fare un'offerta che i Sixers non potrebbero pareggiare.

It's not yet clear whether Golden State would have enough leftover salary-cap space to extend an offer to Williams sufficiently prohibitive for Philly to match after the highly expected re-signings of their own restricted free agents: Ellis (coming soon) and center Andris Biedrins. There would also undoubtedly be questions about how much Williams and Ellis could play together in a less-than-physically imposing backcourt and with Maggette and Stephen Jackson sure to command lots of minutes.

It took several days for the news to filter back, but the 76ers last week had their first face-to-face meeting with agent Merle Scott concerning the possibility of a new contract for Sixers restricted free-agent guard Louis Williams.

Scott confirmed that a meeting had taken place with Sixers president/general manager Eddie Stefanski and assistant general manager Tony DiLeo.

"We've had good conversations, good dialogue back and forth with the Sixers, and we're continuing to talk," Scott said. "Right now, this is a matter of us doing our due diligence, and the Sixers have been more than obliging in their willingness to communicate."

Tutto sembra andare per il verso giusto, la società sta facendo la sua parte, il giocatore ed il suo agente sono contenti dei contatti avuti sino a questo momento. Credo che a questo punto l'offerta sia imminente, si spera anche la firma.

Aspettiamo fiduciosi anche notizie per quanto riguarda Iggy. Va comunque detto che adesso come adesso nessuna squadra (tranne Memphis, che però ha già fatto sapere che si terrà il cap per il prossimo anno) ha i soldi disponibili per firmarlo, l'unico modo che avrebbe di andarsene sarebbe con un sign&trade, cosa che vedo alquanto difficile.

Gran bel prospettino questo ragazzo.Oltre a crescere vicino a Brand,credo possa essere da subito un ottimo cambio per lo stesso Brand.Il tiretto dalle tacche è già affidabilissimo,inoltre sembra anche che come movimenti di post non sia per nulla male.Quando prende e tira,senza mettere palla a terra,ricorda vagamente C-Webb,inoltre il ragazzo sembra avere un atletismo debordante(la schiacciata mette i brividi   )

Direi impossibile. Il progetto a Phila è abbastanza evidente e non pensano si privino di Iggy neanche se tramite sign&trade gli tornasse indietro Iverson.

Pero questa attesa per i rinnovi mi fa paura, adesso credo che di Childress ce ne sia solo uno spero che le due situazioni si risolvano al piu presto.
Invece una cosa molto positiva credo sia vedere uno Speights che per ora si e comportato molto bene, per le maqni sembra che abbiamo un piu che ottimo prospetto negli anni a venire si puo rivelare un crak

Non era il tiratore che tutti aspettavamo ma con quel poco che avevamo a disposizione a livello di cap non ci si poteva aspettare molto. Ivey è un buon giocatore, molto sottovalutato che non ha fatto male nè ad Atlanta nè a Milwaukee. Potrebbe darci qualche minuto di qualità, soprattutto nella nostra metàcampo.

Mmh, credo sia molto difficile a meno di qualche trade clamorosa. Al momento quindi il nostro roster sarebbe così composto:

Miller - Williams
Green - Ivey
Iguodala - Young
Brand - Evans - Speights
Dalembert - Smith

Durante il TC sarà deciso se partiremo con Young in quintetto da SF spostando quindi Iguodala nella posizione di SG oppure si preferirà lasciare Willie Green (e il suo tiro) da numero "2" usando Thaddeus come sesto uomo. Ivey si alternerà probabilmente con LouW, i due sono una coppia ben assortita visto che hanno fisici e caratteristiche completamente diverse.

Ivey non è il tiratore di cui necessitavamo, tuttavia uno che si sbatte in difesa torna sempre utile. Buona presa, specie se consideriamo quanto andà a guadagnare.

Carissimi, non temete che Childress possa essere imitato da Iggy o Williams. Sono convinto che un fatto del genere possa accadere solo in franchigie mal gestite, e da 8 mesi noi non rientriamo più nella cerchia!

Buona presa, scorrendo la lista dei free agents era quello che mi convinceva di più.

Buona firma, Rush è un buon tiratore. Adesso la squadra ha davvero tutte le opzioni in attacco, la possibilità di adattarsi a quintetti veloci giocando piccolo o essere alti con Young da 3. La panchina è discreta, abbiamo chi può mettere i punti (Rush, Green, Williams) e chi può fare il mastino in difesa (Evans e Ivey). Spero anche in Smith e Speights, che ci possano dare il giusto cambio per i lunghi.

Secondo me potete puntare come obiettivo minimo a superare il primo turno dei playoff e forse anche qualche cosina in più, state mettendo su veramente una bella squadretta...
