The Rocky Mountain News says it has obtained a letter purportedly written by a gang member who says he fired shots into a limousine where the Denver Broncos' Darrent Williams was killed on New Year's Day of 2007.
In a copyright story published Friday, the newspaper said the letter carries the signature of Willie D. Clark, whom Denver police have called a person of interest in Williams' slaying.
The newspaper published a redacted excerpt of the letter reading, "(Blank) might say somethin stupd talk to law enforcements about the death of D-Will (Williams). (Blank) seen me withe gun + shoot out the whip (car)." Williams, 24, a cornerback and former Oklahoma State standout, was killed when his rented limousine was sprayed with bullets minutes after leaving a New Year's party at a club in downtown Denver.

Selvin Young will rush for 2,000 yards in 2008.
And nine days after his 26th birthday in October, I will win the Nobel peace prize.
Wanna laugh? Go right ahead. I'll wait.
:lol2:
But if he could play against the Chiefs every week, Young certainly would rush for 2,000. He had 265 yards against them in two games as a rookie. An undrafted rookie.
io giocherei volentieri contro i Chiefs tutte le domeniche
So, will The Beast run for 2,000 yards?
It's more likely than Beauty winning any prize.
Tight end Tony Scheffler made his first appearance at minicamp Thursday since reinjuring a bone in his left foot while running a route May 19.
Michael Pittman, a veteran running back who in 2001 and 2003 was arrested in domestic violence incidents involving his wife.
I'm 32 years old now. I go around and talk to kids about it. Go to high schools. I speak at seminars. I talk about making right decisions. My wife and I are still together. We're in love. We've moved on from it and we're stronger from it."

Broncos center Tom Nalen underwent arthroscopic surgery Friday afternoon to repair a torn cartilage in his left knee. Nalen, 37, will be out at least until the team's final minicamp July 7-8, but should return by the start of training camp July 25.
Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall made his first catch Friday since needing emergency surgery March 22 to repair a severely gashed right forearm. The catch was off an up-and-out pattern during a team drill Friday, with Marshall making a nice one-handed snag. No, the one hand wasn't with his damaged right one. It was with his healthy left hand.

For their last minicamp session Thursday, the Broncos practiced without helmets — and it wound up hurting John Lynch as the veteran safety emerged from a pileup with a bloody nose. In a clear sign the 16-year pro isn't taking his starting spot for granted, Lynch stuffed large wads of tissue up his nostrils and returned a few snaps later. He said his nose may or may not be broken and he may or may not seek a definitive prognosis.
si comincia dal fondo The Broncos signed seventh-round pick Josh Barrett, a safety from Arizona State, to a four-year contract with a signing bonus of $56,000. If he makes the 53-man roster, he'll receive the standard total of $295,000. Barrett is the first of the Broncos' nine draft picks to sign.
ti stiamo aspettando "We don't want any setbacks, so June 22 is the day I'll be out there 100 percent running routes full speed, catching balls at 100 mph," Marshall said. "I can't wait for that day."
Former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday settled for $3.5 million.
Torain Think you'll get a chance to play this year?
"Yeah," he said. "Yeah, I do."
e chiudiamo con Big Tony Tight end Tony Scheffler dressed Tuesday for the first time after reinjuring his left foot May 19. Scheffler did not run routes or catch passes with his teammates, however. He returned to the field to stretch and jog about an hour after Tuesday's practice finished. . . . Center Tom Nalen did not practice after having his knee scoped on Friday.
mi congedo rifacendo i miei auguri al Sommo Mod
