QB a Tennessee non dovrebbe essere un problema in quanto come prima scelta dei Sox riceverà un bonus di tutto rispetto.

Casey Kelly
Hitting Ability: The biggest concern surrounding Kelly is whether the bat will play. It looked like he had made some strides early this season.
Power: The hope is that he'll grow into power. He has the chance to be a phsyical kid.

Medical Update: He missed about a month of the football season with a staph infection, but is fine now.
Strengths: Kelly is a tremendous athlete who can do a lot of things well on the field. As the son of former big leaguer Pat Kelly, he grew up around the game, so he plays it the right way.
Weaknesses: It's all a question of whether he'll hit. If he can, he could develop into an exciting, athletic Major League shortstop.

Forte, forte, forte. Potenziale, qualità. Dovrete strapagarlo ed è sempre un rischio (soprattutto perchè è un liceale ed ha tante università che non aspettano altro che dargli una chance), ma è alto, atletico, lancia a 97-98, ha tanta proiezione davanti a sè ed ha talento da vendere. Buono. Piccolino, ma con potenza. Meno talento puro di tanti altri giocatori, ma sa giocare, sa produrre. L'unico dubbio è sulla difesa, e probabilmente dovrà spostarsi in seconda base prima o poi. Per la sua taglia, pare avere anche discreta potenza come detto. E' meno "rischioso" di altri giocatori, venendo dal college, ma è solido e non pare avere buchi eccessivi nel gioco. Forse gli manca il potenziale di altri (non sarà probabilmente una superstar) ma è molto più probabile che arrivi in Major League rispetto ad altri. E' una buona scelta, ottima per Chicago anzi perchè avrebbe proprio bisogno di un 2B con buona OBP e SLG, che sono cose che Beckham dovrebbe fornire.

Mi sa che Hicks diventerà un Outfielder: "Imagine indeed. Hicks is an outfielder with power and pitcher with a mid-90s fastball, but he prefers to stay on the field every day rather than be on the mound every five days. Uguale per Casey Kelly dei Sox probabilmente.

Comunque la scelta dei Twins di Carlos Gutierrez è stata giudicata atroce dagli scout, non solo per il valore del giocatore (ha solo 1 lancio presentabile) ma soprattutto perchè anche se piaceva, potevano sceglierlo più tardi perchè non piaceva a nessuna altra squadra. Vedremo in ogni caso...
