Allora avrà un rapporto fraterno con Wills!

Intanto firmati un po' di undrafted:
Josh Buchanan, of NFLDraftBible.com, reports the San Francisco 49ers have signed undrafted rookie free-agent TE Joe Jon Finley (University of Oklahoma), LB Ezra Butler (University of Nevada), WR Robert Jordan (University of California), and LB Gary Guyton (Georgia Tech). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Alcuni quesiti:

3 12 75 Reggie Smith   CB Oklahoma
4 8 107 Cody Wallace   C Texas A&M
6 8 174 Josh Morgan WR Virginia Tech
7 7 214 Larry Grant   OLB   Ohio State

Smith invece mi piace moltissimo così come Wallace.

Balmer è già un idolo! :D
Figlio di uno sfegatato tifoso dei niners:

He said he can't yet grasp he's a 49ers player. His dad is a big 49ers fan, and he said he can't be in a better situation or with a better team. He remembers the 49ers' Super Bowl victory against the Chargers in January 1995. That's one of his first football memories.

Si è messo a chiedere autografi a Clements e Nolan:  :forza:

He still considers himself a fan. He has already gotten autographs from Nate Clements and Mike Nolan. He said they were a little surprise when he asked them for their autographs. "It's still a game, and I'm still a fan of this game," Balmer said.

Last night at the hotel in San Jose, a fan asked him for his autograph. Balmer said he was very uncomfortable signing an autograph. He said it was pretty messy, and he apologized to the guy. He wrote "Go Niners" and talked for a while with the fan.

Maledetti Patriots!  :D

On Sunday, 49ers GM Scot McCloughan said he would not be divulging any names of undrafted free agents with whom the club had agreed to terms. The reason: A deal is not a deal until a contract is signed.

Reports widely circulated late Sunday and Monday that the 49ers agreed to terms with Georgia Tech linebacker Gary Guyton. But on Monday, Guyton OFFICIALLY signed with the Patrots.

I don't know what happened with Guyton, who played for the 49ers-coached South squad at the Senior Bowl. My guess is that he did not believe he was Better Than Ezra, and did not have much of a chance to make the team. That's Ezra Butler, the player from Nevada who plays the same position. He has reportedly agreed to sign with the 49ers.

It's time to grade the drafts of the four NFC West teams. This is a project we at Instant 49ers take very seriously. It should require a lot of homework and countless hours of examining the latest data.

OK, so here it goes . . .

The Cardinals get an incomplete. The Rams get an incomplete. The Seahawks get an incomplete. And, finally, the 49ers receive an incomplete. Check back in four years and I'll update those grades.

Every team loves their own draft. That's the way it is every year. That's the way it should be. After all, each team selects players based on their own draft board. Pundits across the country then weigh in on their opinions based on their draft boards.

Because Instant 49ers does not have the resources to travel the country attending personal workouts and scouring hours of film on the most obscure players, we don't have a draft board. It would be the definition of ignorance for us to critique the individual selections of these teams. We prefer to wait a while before raving about a draft or declaring it a dud.

Early Doucet is a good pick. Why? Because we've all heard of him. (Isn't that how we judge drafts?)

OLB EZRA BUTLER, Nevada
The skinny: Had a very productive career at Nevada, recording 233 tackles in his final three seasons at the school to go along with an impressive 46 stops for losses during that span. A very active player who also had 16 career sacks. Also recorded three interceptions last season as a senior. Is an aggressive player with fine speed, but he relies too much on that speed and needs to refine his pass-rushing technique. Is a tough individual who plays with a mean streak. Has some upside and could fit into either a 4-3 or 3-4 system at the pro level.
Where he might fit: If Butler can get to the quarterback, he could challenge for a roster berth on the 3-4 edge. He appears to have the versatility the 49ers like to see in their linebackers and should receive a legitimate look this summer.
