Re: Italiani nelle minors....year 3!
tratto dalla newsletter di Baseballnotebook:
"Five For the Future"
In this new feature to our newsletter for 2008, we highlight five names from the minor leagues whom you should know about. Not a traditional ranked prospect list, each edition will introduce five new names who are worthy of your attention if you’re thinking about players for the long-term.
Alex Liddi, 3b, Seattle: Only nineteen years old, Liddi hasn’t yet shown the statistical skill in line with what our age model projects for him. He’s coming off a .240 year with 8 home runs and 52 RBI in 400 at bats at Single-A Wisconsin. He’s been assigned to that same Wisconsin team to start this year and continues to struggle average-wise (hitting .235 through 10 games played) but the secondary skills here are causing our model to flag him. We don’t project him to be a big-time hitter for average but he projects to develop good power, in the 25 home run range, and he’s worth keeping in the back of your mind as a player who could have a long and productive career in the majors as a good but not elite power hitter.
per la cronaca gli altri erano: Jordan Schafer, of, Atlanta, Jon Connolly, p, Detroit, Hank Conger, c, Angels e Trevor Cahill, p, Oakland

E di questo non diciamo niente???

Meanwhile, Alex Maestri worked a tremendous five innings of relief after Eyre’s one inning start.
Un ragazzo italiano che entra da rilievo a un veterano delle major (con evidenti problemi fisici
) e porta a casa la vittoria alla grande!!!
Vogliamo il AA
