Una o due volte a settimana mi arriva la newsletter di Nfl.com.
Quella arrivata stanotte ovviamente è tutta focalizzata sul draft.
Tra i vari mock l'unico che ancora prevede Branden Albert alla #23 è il 4.0 di Carucci...Vic ti stimo, ma non lo vedo possibile.

Comunque ve lo metto qua, giusto per trastullarci ancora un pò con l'idea

Nfl Draft Countdown ha finalmente updatato il suo mock.
Anche qui come praticamente ovunque ci danno Gosder Cherilus al primo giro, uno che verrebbe a fare il RT.
A 10 giorni dal draft la domanda, a costo di passare per un disco rotto, è sempre la stessa: cosa facciamo col tag di Max Starks? Niente e poi al draft prendiamo il suo doppione?

Alla 53 invece ci danno Jordy Nelson

Nfl Draft Countdown ha finalmente updatato il suo mock. 

Cherilus potrebbe anche andare bene, Nelson al secondo giro invece mi sembra un reach clamoroso. Intendiamoci, il ragazzo piace anche a me ma stiamo parlando di 53esima scelta assoluta... Secondo me lo ritroviamo più in là volendo.

PS Comunque se Kentwan Balmer fosse disponibile alla 23 io non gli passerei sopra... Forse non è adattissimo alla 3-4 ma è una bestia e la nostra DL ha bisogno di un giocatore del genere.

Purtroppo i prospetti sui quali mette gli occhi la Steeler Nation sembrano tutti destinati a salire...un esempio: praticamente tutti quelli della mia wish list con molta probabilità saranno già andati quando gli Steelers dovranno annunciare la loro prima, seconda e terza scelta  :lol2:
   
Credo che il giusto giro per Jordy sia il terzo...altrimenti c'è questo Mario Urrutia, che come taglia è un vero bersaglio da red zone.

Come si sapeva la nostra schedule è un qualcosa di paurosa, basti vedere cosa succede tra novembre e dicembre quando in meno di un mese affrontiamo Colts, Chargers, Patriots e Cowboys. Fortunatamente tre su quattro sono almeno in casa... Mamma mia, che roba!

Not only do they have the toughest schedule in the league, but the NFL also issued them one in which they won't have the chance to feel comfortable with any one kickoff time, particularly the 1 p.m. start at home. The Steelers play at night in three of their first five games, have only two 1 p.m. kickoffs in their first 13 games in 2008 and just two overall at home all season. Four of their first six games are away.

Their schedule, released by the NFL yesterday, contains the maximum of five initially scheduled night games -- two on Sunday, two on Monday and one Thursday. And there could be more.

All five of their final Sunday afternoon games are subject to the league's flexible scheduling. They could be moved to later Sunday afternoon or Sunday night. The NFL provides at least 12 days' notice of time changes, except for the last game of the season, in which only six days' notice is required.

Steelers president Art Rooney II said that "it certainly looks to be one of the more exciting and challenging schedules that we have ever had. Certainly the number of premier teams that are visiting Heinz Field this year will make it an interesting year for our fans, and we are looking forward to the challenge."

Steelers' Washington signs one-year contract

Wide receiver Nate Washington today signed the one-year contract tendered him by the Steelers as a restricted free agent. He will earn $1,417,000 in 2008.

Also today, inside linebacker Philip Wheeler of Georgia Tech and defensive end/linebacker Jason Jones of Eastern Michigan are the latest two college prospects to visit the Steelers.

pare che Ryan Clark sia in rotta con la franchigia per un malinteso sul suo infortunio: i preparatori l'avrebbero forzato a giocare sottovalutando le sue condizioni e aggravando il malessere della milza (che poi si è infiammata ed è stata asportata).
