Non so se è già stato scritto, Micheal Robinson prolunga di tre anni il suo contratto con i niners; buono, mi sta molto simpatico (imperdibile il suo Robinson Report sul sito dei niners) e si è dimostrato molto utile negli special teams. Speriamo possa dare presto il suo contributo come RB.

If the early reports about Kwame Harris are true (five years, $27.5 million with $10 million to sign from the Raiders), it makes that Joe Staley acquisition look really, really good. After all, Harris was Staley's backup. If Harris can command that kind of money, how much is Staley worth right now?

A quanto pare Justin Smith ha lasciato Santa Clara senza aver firmato il contratto, vediamo cosa succede ora.
Secondo Maiocco è molto probabile l'arrivo di Bruce, spero che KingKaiv sia munito di defribrillatore (anche se essendo laziale dovrebbe avere coronarie a prova di bomba...).

49ers agreed to terms with WR Isaac Bruce on a two-year contract, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

He's a No. 1 receiver again. Bruce, 35, isn't the wideout he once was, but he can still run routes with the best of them. He's averaged 65 catches and 915 yards with Scott Linehan the last two seasons.

The NFL Network report has now been confirmed. Isaac Bruce agrees to a two-year, $6 million deal.

6 milioni per 2 anni.....mah....vediamo com'è strutturato il contratto, di certo potrà aiutare gli altri ricevitori a integrarsi nel sistema Martz, e comunque peggio di Lloyd o Woods, anche a 35 anni, non può essere....ora ci sarà grande battaglia al TC tra i ricevitori.

Smith pare che ieri sera non aveva ancora lasciato la Baia ma che anzi era andato a cena con Nolan, il suo agente però dice che oggi dovrebbe visitare Minnesota (brutto posto dove fa' un freddo cane per altro....:paper:)

Da vecchio springsteeniano quell'ululato mi è già abbastanza familiare!
Che dire, credo che uno-due anni a discreti livelli può ancora farli ma secondo me un altro WR di peso arriverà col draft; certo le cifre che girano in questa Free Agency sono pazzesche (non mi riferisco a Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce, parlo in generale).

Agent Jim Steiner, who represents Justin Smith, just confirmed it. He said, the contract is "agreed to, not signed." The deal will be signed today. Smith will receive $32.5 million in the first four years of the contract, which is more than Richard Seymour's four-year total with the Patriots. The 49ers tried to work a deal to trade for Smith at the deadline this past season, Steiner said, so they've "been on him for a while." As for Smith's role with the 49ers, "They're playing a hybrid of a 3-4 that will put the team and Justin in a position to win." Smith also strongly considered signing with the Vikings.

Uno è indeciso fra San Francisco e Minnesota? Ecco il modo per convincerlo:

Coach Mike Nolan accompanied Smith on a helicopter tour of the South Bay on Friday. It was a way to show Smith, a Midwesterner, the landscape of the Bay Area. The 49ers wanted to dispel the notion this is a sprawling metropolitan area. The tour showed Smith the area's proximity to city life, farmland, lakes, mountains and beaches.

Perhaps, it might not have hurt that it was a gorgeous, 72-degree day for a helicopter ride, either. Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, the high was 30 degrees.
