forse però a Fisher ha dato fastidio la nota insistenza del cinesino per ottenere un posto da head coach (rimasi un po' sconcertato quando lessi che aveva parlato con i Bruins addirittura il giorno prima di una partita fondamentale come quella giocata dai Titans a Kansas City....)

rimpiazzarlo non sarà affatto facile

per quanto riguarda le nomination alla HOF, metto Thomas e Green un gradino sopra gli altri

come già detto nel topic dei Titans, i Broncos concedono il permesso a Mike Heimerdinger di parlare con i Titans.

Assistant head coach/quarterbacks Mike Heimerdinger has been granted permission to interview with the Titans.

According to reports, the Titans requested permission Tuesday to interview Heimerdinger about their offensive coordinator position, a vacancy created when they dismissed Norm Chow, who guided Tennessee’s offense the past two seasons.

Heimerdinger guided the Tennessee offense from 2000-04 as offensive coordinator before leaving for a one-year stint with the New York Jets. He previously served as receivers coach for the Broncos from 1995-99 and returned as assistant head coach in February 2006 following the departure of Gary Kubiak for the head-coaching position with the Houston Texans.

L'intenzione di Jeff Fisher è di riunirsi con Mike Heimerdinger, che lavorò già a Tennessee come offensive coordinator. Il licenziamento di Chow non lo definirei demenziale, dato che i Titans non hanno risolto alcuni cronici problemi dell'attacco.

The passion they demonstrated for our sport that day continued throughout the season, as television viewership in the U.K. has grown by 40 percent since the game. We had an overwhelmingly positive response to the event from all involved – the teams, our sponsors and business partners and of course the fans themselves. We look forward to another spectacular event in 2008.”

Details about the game -– including the venue and competing teams -– are expected to be confirmed during Super Bowl week (Jan. 28-Feb. 3) in Arizona.
