The Colts haven't wrapped up a playoff spot yet, but the division is theirs with essentially a three-game lead and four to play.

Nothing has been pretty for the Steelers over the last three weeks. Nothing would be prettier than a victory over New England in Week 14.

With a tight grip on the division, the Chargers are likely playing the rest of the regular season for playoff positioning.

Their division crown hopes took a blow, but a favorable closing slate should help in trying to hold off other wildcard hopefuls.

Even with win on Sunday, it will be an uphill climb for Buffalo, which has to make sure it doesn't look past winless Miami.

If you're the Broncos, you probably would like to remove a loss to the Raiders on your playoff résumé.

The Seahawks have won four straight and appear to be playing their best ball heading into an important divisional showdown with Arizona.

With a commanding three-game lead in the NFC South after beating the Saints, the Buccaneers have the division all but clinched.

The Vikings, with one of the easier closing slates, have momentum on their side after impressive back-to-back wins over the Giants and Lions.

A funeral and a short week. An impossible task, right? Not for the Redskins, who still have hope.

With three division leaders and an 8-4 second-place team left on the schedule, the Panthers can start working on next season.

The Saints blew a big opportunity by losing to the Bucs. With the division now history, eyes are on a wildcard.

Realistically, the Eagles have to win their final four to have a shot at the playoffs, and with that schedule ...

Comincio a pensare che Seattle dirà la propria. Sembrano proprio in palla, difendono abbastanz abene, hanno un Haselbeck che gira e dopo il bye hanno perso subito a Cleveland in OT per poi vincerne 5 di fila dimostrando anche di saper lottare in gare tirate come contro Chicago. Hanno vinto la division (almeno un'altra gara su tre la vincono) e avranno la wild card in casa... in postseason sono esperti e spesso rognosi, hanno problemi sulle corse, ma Morris sta tenendo un 4.5 di media e Alexander se ti gira un paio di partite ai playoff può risultare fondamentale.

Certo, al solit ola division li ha facilitati, ma ieri hanno devstato i Cards che erano relativamente in forma e comunque a 6-6 piazzando 5 intercetti su Warner. Non lo so, ma 'sti qua alla fine risultano sempre abbastanza ostici anche se hanno molto meno da offrire di Dallas e GB, in generale, hanno le pedine giuste per rompere i coglioni, imho.

E poi dai, una bella rivincita Pittsburgh-Seattle non farebbe tutti contenti?

quali sono i campi che diventano un fattore (per condizioni atmosferiche, ambientali, tipo di terreno ecc. ecc.) molto sfavorevole per chi gioca in trasferta?

Beh, andare in trasferta non è mai comodo, soprattutto ai playoff. Dallas si troverà un buon vantaggio a giocare sempre in casa, per loro andare al Lambeau Field sarebbe un dramma visto il clima e i numeri invernali dei Cowboys negli ultimi anni. La Tundra è stata espugnata solo 2 volte nelle storia della postseason, ma sono state le ultime due volte in cui ci si è giocato (Falcons e Vikings). Vero è che lo scorso anno GB aveva perso la forza casalinga anche in regular season, la tana dei formaggini non era più così sicura. Ora sembra tornato tutto a posto.

Seattle è sempre un brutto posto, è lo stadio più ruomoroso della Nfl, quello che nell'ultimo lustro ha generato più false partenze per gli avversari. Di solito è abbastanza scontato pensare che una squadra da clima freddo che va al caldo ci mette meno, nella settimana di preparazione, ad ambientarsi di una che non faccia il giro opposto (o da Dome al freddo, comunque). Ovvio che se sei più forte vinci lo stesso, ma una bella bufera di neve quando tu vieni dalla Florida potrebbe non essere il massimo.

I peggiori campi per l'inverno saranno: Pittsburgh (a meno che non si trovino contro i Jaguars che giocano solo con le corse), Boston (anche se quest'anno non ho ancora visto correre con continuità l'attacco dei Pats... mi aspetto che BB stia preparando qualcosa per la postseason), Green Bay (Frozen Tundra who?), Seattle (vento e pioggia... sempre... non solo in inverno)... le altre papabili ai PO, se non sbaglio, hanno tutti campi in climi decenti o giocano in dome... Jacksonville, Indianapolis, San Diego, Dallas, Minnesota, Tampa...

Forse ne ho dimenticati un paio di campi bruttarelli per il clima... Cleveland e New York (sponda Giants)...

Quoto questa parte del discorso, per sottolineare come Tampa negli ultimi anni (anche quando era forte) aveva un record tipo 0vinte-tante perse quando giocava sotto i 5 gradi....mi ricordo sta statistica, vabbè, volevo dirla :gazza:

il problema di Seattle è che Matt Hasselbeck ha quasi sempre cannato nei playoffs...

Puoi dirlo forte, quando sono andato al qwest field, ovviamente la prima volta mi sono stupito del silenzio di tutti durante l'attacco (abituato al calcio), poi si urlava durante la difesa....
Per la cronaca al qwest l'anno scorso ci sono state almeno 20 false partenze in più rispetto agli altri stadi....
