Cambiano le regole per la stesura del calendario: ecco quà uno stralcio direttamente dal sito nhl.com

The NHL Board of Governors approved a scheduling change Thursday that will produce more inter-conference matchups, increasing the variety of teams fans can expect to see next season.
Under the new format, approved at the League meetings in Pebble Beach, Calif., and scheduled to begin in 2008-09, teams will play each club in their division six times, a total of 24 games, and the 10 other clubs in their conference four times, a total of 40 games.

The remaining 18 games in the 82-game schedule will involve each club playing all 15 clubs in the other conference at least once, home or away. The three remaining games will be devoted to inter-conference “at-large” scheduling.

"The sense of the board was we heard the concerns raised by some of the fans, and this was an attempt to be responsive to the concerns of our fans," NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said.

Un gol di Martin Erat a 23 secondi dalla sirena finale regala il successo ai Nashville Predators. 6-5 sugli Ottawa Senators dopo una gara tiratissima che ha visto le due squadre recuperare, alternativamente, lo svantaggio, fino a quando Nashville si e` portata sul 5-3 e la gara sembrava chiusa, ma la `feroce` reazione dei Senators portava di nuovo il risultato in perfetta parita`, grazie al gol di Daniel Alfredsson al minuto 19.14. A questo punto Martin Erat, assistito da J.P Dumont, andava a segno regalando il successo alla squadra del Tennessee che violava cosi` lo Scotiabank Palace di Ottawa. Per J.P.Dumont oltre ad una segnatura personale, anche tre assist per i compagni. Per i Senators, che mantengono comunque la testa della Northeast Division, una sconfitta che puo` sonare da campanello d`allarme, visto che i canadesi non vincono dal 19 novembre. :altrabirra:

L'attacco più tosto si sveglia dopo la metà partita quando ormai il risultato era stato ampiamente messo al sicuro dai Rangers, che con il portiere più forte hanno tenuto bene il ritorno avversario.

Però Ottawa mi ha colpito molto per la resistenza,1° periodo da dimenticare ma via via è stato un crescendo e tutto il 3° hanno attaccato a testa bassa,con i Rangers ormai stanchi.
Bella vittoria di NY,con un Lundqvist attento dopo le ultime 2 partite non all'altezza mentre dal lato Sens impressionante la prova di Spezza che ha fatto nascere tutte le azioni più pericolose per la sua compagine.

EDIT:PP di NY da cancellare,a più riprese hanno rischiato lo SHG.

Beh se pensiamo che anche dopo 6 sconfitte consecutive, e avendo qualche partita in meno delle inseguitrici, e' ancora prima ad est, vien da credere che lo stiano facendo per lasciare spazio anche agli altri e non chiudere subito i giochi
