Un pò di news dopo questa Week 5.

- Deion Branch out 2 settimane, Mack Strong tutta la stagione

Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren just finished his Monday press briefing and had two bombshells regarding fullback Mack Strong and receiver Deion Branch.
Holmgren said Strong has suffered a neck injury that will likely end his season. He said more details are coming but surgery is a possibility.
Branch has a mid-foot sprain – nothing's broken – and will likely return to the team after the bye, which means he would miss the next two games.

- Steven Jackson salterà anche la prossima partita

Steven Jackson (groin) has been ruled out for Week 6.
This will be his third consecutive missed game; the initial timetable for Jackson was at least two-to-three weeks. That he's been ruled out so quickly for Week 6 doesn't bode well for Jackson's chances to play in Week 7.

- Devery Henderson potrebbe aver perso il #2 spot dietro a Colston?

Saints coach Sean Payton said Monday that the team will use a rotation at the receiver position opposite Marques Colston moving forward.
Devery Henderson had a big drop in Sunday's loss and may have lost his starting job to Lance Moore. David Patten, Terrance Copper, and eventually first-round pick Robert Meachem could also be a part of the committee.

- Huard out per la Week 6, Croyle al suo posto

The Chiefs have ruled Damon Huard (shoulder) out for Week 6. Brodie Croyle will start against the Bengals.
Depending on how he fares against Cincinnati's porous defense, this could mean that Croyle will start for the rest of the season. Coach Herm Edwards acknowledged that when Croyle comes in he adds a noticeable spark to the offense. Huard will have an MRI Monday to determine the extent of his injury.

Non so voi, ma a me sembra una stagione davvero più disastrosa del solito dal punto di vista degli infortuni, per quantità e gravità.
Al lunedì ci stiamo abituando ad una sorta di bollettino di guerra.

Ah, Green molto probabilmente ha chiuso la sua carriera visto che la concussion di grado 3, l'ultima della lunga lista di commozioni avute dall'ex Chiefs, gli farà prendere la decisione di lasciare il football.

praticamente la loro pre-season dura sei partite in più...il che alla lunga aiuta.

ma chi è che mi può spiegare in italiano che cazzo si è fatto delhomme per stare fuori 8mesi??? prima diceva che poteva rientrare dopo il bye week poi decide x farsi operare e ci mette 8 mesi ?:shocking:

Tommy John surgery, known by doctors as ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction (or UCL), is a surgical procedure in which a ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with a tendon from elsewhere in the body (often from the forearm, hamstring, knee, or foot of the patient).

probabilmente gli hanno consigliato l'operazione perchè c'era il rischio che un nuovo infortunio potesse essere carrier-ending.

-Carolina e Baltimore con le vittorie di questo weekend raggiungono quota 100W nella loro storia

- dopo le prime 4 gare si sono segnati ben 198punti da field goal, non se ne segnavano tanti dal 1978

- Gli indianapolis Colts sono in vetta alla AFC South da 83 partite su 90 totali da quando è nata

Come previsto Leinart va in IR; a questo punto Warner diventa titolare unico mentre come suo back up è stato firmato Tim Rattay, ex niners e Bucs.

Ormai bro' sembra quasi una prassi....
è un po' come dice Teo....siamo sempre in attesa del season ending quotidiano....

Comunque che mi ricordi una lunga serie di infortuni del genere ad inizio stagione non è mai successa....qui parliamo di 3 QB fuori in un solo weekend, 4 se calcoliamo che i Bucs stanno per reinfilare in IR Chris Simms.... :gazza:

beh,simms dovrebbe essere inserito in IR solo perchè ci sono 4 qb nel roster attivo ed hanno bisogno di avere più running back in quanto non ci sono portatori affidabili e testati!
