Buone notizie per Killings, fortunatamente il suo infortunio non è risultato essere grave come quello di Everett di due settimane fa.
HOUSTON -- Houston Texans defensive tackle Cedric Killings was able to stand in the hospital on Monday and doctors are confident he'll soon be walking.
Killings' progress came one day after he left the field on a stretcher after a headfirst collision with Indianapolis receiver Roy Hall.
Killings fractured his C-4 vertebra and was unable to move any of his limbs for a time on the field on Sunday, Dr. Rob Parrish, a neurosurgeon working with Killings, said. He has since gained movement in his arms and legs, though he's weak in both hands and his left arm.
"He stood for me this morning at the bed side," Parrish said. "So I think he'll walk out of the hospital. That's very good. We were all applauding."

Mah.HALL BEAT UP IN FALCONS LOCKER ROOM?
There are uncorroborated rumors making the rounds that Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall was beat up, presumably by one or more teammates, following a Falcons loss that was fueled in part by Hall's inability to control his emotions.
After being flagged for a total of 37 yards on a second-half drive that the Panthers used to tie the game, Hall got into a sideline confrontation with coach Bobby Petrino.
We don't know for sure whether Hall was indeed roughed up or otherwise accosted by teammates after the game, but it wouldn't surprise us to find out that the rumor is true. Hall is a brash and outspoken member of the organization, and his Virginia Tech ties to Mike Vick probably have prompted some in the locker room to view him differently in the wake of Vick's legal troubles. Today's actions would have potentially been enough to get a frustrated Falcon to convert hostile feelings toward Hall into action.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Texans RB Ahman Green underwent an MRI on his knee and said the team had good news. "It's nothing bad," Green said. "Just swelling. I'm taking it one day at a time." Green injured his left knee Sept. 16 against the Carolina Panthers. He tried to play through the pain Sunday against the Colts in Week 3 but left the game at the start of the second quarter. Green said he does not know if he will be able to play against Atlanta this week.
Eagles RB Brian Westbrook has an abdominal strain and his availability for Sunday's game against the New York Giants will be determined later this week. "We'll know better in the next day or two," coach Andy Reid said. "Right now he's pretty sore." Westbrook left in the third quarter of Philadelphia's 56-21 win over Detroit on Sunday and the injury was originally listed as bruised ribs. Reid said Westbrook wasn't hurt on a hit, but instead on a sharp move while running. "It was kind of a freak thing," Reid said. Westbrook had 110 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 14 carries. He also caught five passes for 111 yards and scored on a 43-yard screen pass.
Panthers QB Jake Delhomme will not need surgery on his injured right elbow and will be day to day leading up to Sunday's game against Tampa Bay. Delhomme was injured late in the third quarter of Carolina's 27-20 win over Atlanta on Sunday when he was sacked by John Abraham. Coach John Fox said Delhomme underwent an MRI on Monday which revealed no serious damage. Fox wouldn't say if he expects David Carr, signed in the offseason after being a five-year starter in Houston, to take the majority of snaps in practice this week. "What the doctors are telling me, it's a strained elbow," Fox said. "There are days until we play this week, so I can't rule anything, other than day to day." The Charlotte Observer speculated Monday that David Carr likely will make his first start for Carolina vs. the Bucs.
According to the Bengals team web site, RB Rudi Johnson said that his hamstring injury wouldn't keep him out of next Monday night's game against New England. Johnson left with a hamstring problem early in the fourth quarter against Seattle, and at the time he had managed just 9 yards rushing on 17 carries. The 9 yards were a career-low for Johnson when he has at least five carries
According to the Baltimore Sun, Ravens QB Steve McNair left Sunday's game against Arizona as a precaution because of his injured groin. McNair said that he felt fine, that he could have finished the game, that he's good to go next week against Cleveland, but that he agreed with his coach's choice: "We were trying to be smart with it today." He and Billick had talked about it in the third quarter: "I didn't want to put myself in harm's way, especially since we felt we were in control of the game."
Bills QB J.P. Losman sprained his left knee in the first series against New England. Losman is expected to miss up to two weeks. The Bills are home against the Jets and Cowboys before a bye in Week 6. Losman could return in Week 7 against Baltimore.
Lions rookie WR Calvin Johnson is unsure if a back injury will prevent his playing Sunday against the Bears. Johnson, the No. 2 pick in April's draft, was injured during Detroit's 56-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles when he landed hard on his back while catching a pass. "I went up for it and got spun around, and obviously, hit pretty hard," he said Monday. "I've never had anything like this, so I'm not sure what to expect. I'm getting treatment and we'll see what happens." Lions coach Rod Marinelli said tests only showed bad bruising, and Johnson was moving very gingerly at the team's practice facility on Monday. Marinelli said he considers Johnson day to day.
Steelers WR Hines Ward said an MRI exam on his bruised knee revealed no damage. Ward, injured in the third quarter of a 37-16 victory over San Francisco on Sunday when he took a helmet to the knee, walked without a limp while reporting to a team meeting Monday. The team plans no further injury update until Tuesday. The team has not said which knee Ward injured while he was the intended receiver on consecutive plays during a stalled Steelers drive early in the third quarter. Ward had one catch for 2 yards and a 7-yard run in Week 3 play.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Texans WR Jacoby Jones separated his shoulder in the third quarter against the Colts. Jones said he likely will miss two to three weeks.

Re: NFL Season 2K7
