Re: Welcome to the Show Alex! (italiani negli States)
Bizzarro...

Dal twitter di Keith Law.
“@sbender21: do u see any of Liddi, Seager or Martinez as future at 3b? Or are all platoon types?” Martinez most upside, Liddi least likely.

Mariners manager Eric Wedge said Tuesday that Alex Liddi will work out at first base for most of the spring.
Liddi has primarily played third base during his professional career, but he has also played 53 games at first base in the minor leagues. The goal this spring is to test his versatility with a potential bench role in mind. The 23-year-old Italian native socked 30 homers with Triple-A Tacoma last season and batted .225 (9-for-40) with three homers and six RBI with the M's as September call-up.

Re: Welcome to the Show Alex! (italiani negli States)

Bryce Harper giocava in NJCAA. Quelli forti vengono sempre notati.

"Alex Liddi is an intriguing potential middle-of-the-order hitter. Born in Italy, Liddi, like Montero, is more advanced hitting than playing defense. Tall and slender at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, Liddi plays both corner-infield positions. He's coming off a 30-homer season at Triple-A Tacoma. Liddi has the type of raw power and eye-hand coordination that project as Major League quality. When he makes contact, his hands are quick enough through the ball to spray pitches to the opposite field. Still young at 23, he has to improve his contact rate to elevate his game.
Having observed Liddi play defense at both first and third, it appears his range and reaction times are slow. He has trouble untangling his feet quickly enough to move laterally to the ball. That said, his bat is loud enough, so Liddi can hit his way to a big league club."
