Firmati Joey Galloway e Bobby Wade per ampliare il roster dei ricevitori.

The Washington Redskins have added another veteran free agent wide receiver.

In addition to picking up Joey Galloway, the Redskins have agreed to terms with Bobby Wade, CSNWashington.com is reporting.

Wade signed with the Chiefs in September after getting cut by the Vikings, and he ended up playing in 12 games for Kansas City, starting six, and catching 36 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns.

In addition to the Chiefs and the Vikings, Wade (who seems like he's been around forever but actually just turned 29 years old) has played for the Bears and Titans.

Dave, ho letto il tuo ultimo articolo e non sei stato leggero sul draft dei washington, effettivamente hai pienamente ragione, mi sarei aspettato una trade per avere delle scelte al secondo giro o terzo, ma credo che bisogna aver fiducia nel lavoro di Shanna  ,....Credo che  il progetto sia di puntare ai playoff quest'anno per poi qualcosa di oltre nei prossimi....

Primi tagli dal minicamp e prime sorprese. Marko Mitchell, un favorito anche del sottoscritto, non ce l'ha fatta a rimanere a roster e me ne dispiace molto, è un ragazzo agile ed alto, ma che non è utile agli special teams, motivazione alla base del taglio. Anthony Montgomery, ex quinto giro 2006, potrebbe invece andare a fare il nose tackle altrove, si è rinunciato a lui per via dell'abbondanza di giocatori arrivati nel ruolo in offseason.

Just four days before the second offseason minicamp is scheduled to begin, the Redskins also released running backs Anthony Alridge and P.J. Hill and wide receiver James Robinson. But Mitchell's name was the one that likely was most surprising to fans.

Philip Daniels ha pubblicamente criticato Haynesworth, sottolineando che è l'unico giocatore a non aver rispettato la richiesta di Mike Shanahan, ovvero di presenziare tutti agli allenamenti non obbligatori per i veterani, per i quali l'affluenza è stata molto positiva (mancava solo lui, è venuto persino McIntosh nonostante i problemi contrattuali). Questo qua mi scade ogni giorno di più, lui ed i suoi ca..o di 21 milioni di bonus...

Albert Haynesworth's decision to stay away from the Washington Redskins' voluntary offseason activities doesn't sit well with all his teammates.

Redskins defensive end Phillip Daniels, in particular, has some harsh words for Haynesworth, saying in no uncertain terms that he wants his linemate to get with the Redskins' program.

"It says this is voluntary, but for us, what we went through last season after a 4-12 season, it's mandatory," Daniels said. "He should definitely be here. And it's a shame he's not."

That quote comes from a column by Mike Wise in the Washington Post, a column in which Wise rips Haynesworth and writes, "Albert, the people you play with think you're a bad teammate."

Wise doesn't actually quote any Redskins saying they think he's a bad teammate, but he does quote Daniels saying Haynesworth should join the rest of the team, begin to learn the end position in the Redskins' new 3-4 defense, and be the kind of player the Redskins thought they were getting for their $100 million contract.

"From what I'm told, he can play the end spot," Daniels said. "I've called him and told him that. The thing is, we have 100 percent participation if he is here. It's now 99. He's got to be here."

But the truth is, Haynesworth doesn't have to be there. The Redskins have already paid him a large chunk of that $100 million contract, and if Haynesworth is content to sit at home and count his money while his teammates are sweating at Redskins Park, there's not a thing anyone can do about it.

- Trent Williams ed Artie Hicks saranno i due tackles che andranno in prima squadra al training camp, da lì comincia la battaglia, che vede Stephon Heyer relegato a backup;

- Joey Galloway, per ammissione di un giornalista del post che l'ha visto, a 39 anni non ha perso un solo passo rispetto a prima;

- McNabb sta prendendo sempre più il ruolo di leader dello spogliatoio: finalmente qualcuno che si fa avanti!

- Haynesworth è detto interessato ai Vikings: se devono concludere, mi auguro che lo facciano quanto prima.

Comunque, i tre RB sono lì per farsi competizione, non mi sorprenderebbe se Parker venisse tagliato dopo il camp.

Torain è stato preso esclusivamente per fare il kick returner.
