Vasquez ha rischiato di giocarci subito un brutto scherzo. Per fortuna solo una settimana fuori.Varejao Injured While Playing For Brazil
Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao was injured on Tuesday while playing for Brazil in an international exhibition against Spain.
Former Magic draft pick Fran Vazquez landed on Varejao's leg and injured his right ankle.
Varejao was taken to the hospital for tests and it was later reported that the injury was minor and he would miss about a week of action.

Carine, ma veramente troppo semplici. Mi sarebbe piaciuto più lo stile old-school come la terza maglia indossata molto spesso negli ultimi due anni.Marcomax wrote: Le nuove jersey:

According to league sources, #Cavs have agreed to a new 5-year contract with new GM Chris Grant.
Grant had 3 years left on a deal he signed in 2008 after he turned down Hawks GM job. So this is an extension with pay raise.
PD reporting deal for Chinese group to buy 15 percent of #Cavs is off. After a year Kenny Huang could not come up with money.
Huang withdrew a bid to buy England soccer club Liverpool last week as well. Apparently same issue, all talk no cash.
#Cavs & NBA dodged questions on topic for months. Seems deal died before LeBron signed with Heat.
Chinese investor deal fell through before LeBron signed with Heat. Cavs & NBA dodged questions on matter last spring, was in peril then.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will work out free agent Juan Dixon next week, according to sources close to the situation.
Dixon is trying to land on an NBA roster after spending last season in Spain. The Cavaliers will evaluate Dixon over the course of three days, working him out on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week.
Dixon has averaged 8.4 points per game during his seven-year career

Delonte torna a Boston:
Celtics bring back former guard West
BOSTON (AP) -- Delonte West is returning to the Boston Celtics.
The team announced Wednesday that it has signed the 6-foot-3 guard, who was suspended for the first 10 games of the 2010-11 season after pleading guilty to weapons charges in Maryland.
West played his first three seasons with Boston before being traded to Seattle in 2007 in the deal that brought Ray Allen to the Celtics.
Maryland authorities said he was carrying two loaded handguns, a loaded shotgun and an 8 1/2-inch Bowie knife while speeding on a three-wheel motorcycle on the Capital Beltway last September. He was sentenced to home detention but may travel to games.
West has averaged 10 points and 3.7 assists over his career. He was waived last month by the Minnesota Timberwolves, who had acquired him only a week earlier in a trade with Cleveland.

Jawad Williams agrees to one-year deal to return to Cleveland Cavaliers
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Jawad Williams will be staying home.
The Cleveland native has decided to accept the Cavaliers' one-year qualifying offer and will sign it this week, agent Kevin Bradbury said. The sides have been in talks for months with Williams hoping to secure a multi-year deal. But the small forward has decided to settle the contract issue in time for training camp, which starts Sept. 28.
The contract is for $1.02 million, but is not fully guaranteed. But that is a position Williams is used to, as he made the team in each of the last two seasons out of camp with nonguaranteed contracts.
Williams had talked with several other teams, including the San Antonio Spurs. But as a restricted free agent he had limited options because the Cavs had matching rights.
"Jawad has stated from day one that his desire is to stay home and be with the Cavs," Bradbury said in a text to The Plain Dealer. "Jawad did not want to hold out and wants to get to camp and help the team get back to the playoffs. He's excited to be coming home to Cleveland again."
Williams had a breakout season in 2009-10 when he became a rotation player for the first time. Earning his minutes by taking advantage of limited playing time early, Williams ended up averaging 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 54 games and six starts.
Along with Jamario Moon and free-agent pickup Joey Graham, Williams is expected to be in a competition during training camp to be new coach Byron Scott's starting small forward.

Trade exceptions, Spurs-Cavs connections and alternate uniforms: Hey, Brian!
Q: Hey, Brian: Who are some of the players the Cavs can realistically target with their trade exception? -- Lee Thompson, Williard
A: Hey, Lee: The answer is, I don't know and neither does the team right now. The Cavs have until next July to use the $14.5 million and their plan is to be patient and see what develops. You just never know which players will become available as events take place during the season. Most teams looking to dump a player for an exception are when they are in distress and teams aren't in distress right now.
Fans should remain grounded, however. Do not expect the Cavs to be able to just trade for a star player with it. They can break it into pieces and, frankly, that is what is most likely. They may use it to absorb mid-level players in salary-cap clearing trades to pick up extra draft picks or prospects from teams looking to dump money.
Also, there are a handful of teams out there with large trade exceptions created over this wild summer. There's more money in trade exceptions out there right now than there's been in a decade so it doesn't have as much value. But it is a valuable asset that can be used many different ways.
Q: Hey, Brian: You wrote that the Cavs $14.5 million trade exception could be used for a player making up to $18.2 million. Is that right? I didn't think trade exceptions had the same rules as standard player trades. -- James Richards, Folsom, Calif.
A: Hey, James: What are you a salary-cap expert or something? You're right and I was wrong about that one. After review of the fine print, the trade exception does not apply to the standard 25 percent trade rule. So they most they could trade for is a total of $14.5 million in matching salaries.
Q: Hey, Brian: With Danny Ferry going back to San Antonio's front office, is there a chance the Cavs may look to make some trades with the Spurs for some Cavs players Ferry make want to bring in? -- Frank Wolacek, Peoria, Ill.
A: Hey, Frank: With Ferry's relationship with Spurs GM R.C. Buford and Mike Brown's relationship with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, there has long been very few secrets between the teams. Yet, they have not done business in the last five years so I wouldn't assume it would happen. But obviously there's a value in familiarity, so it is possible.
Q: Hey, Brian: Do the Cavs have an alternate blue uniform this season, or do they just have the white home and wine away ones they unveiled recently? -- Lauren, Cleveland
A: Hey, Lauren: No they won't. There are plenty of obscure uniform rules within the NBA and one of them is you can't have an alternate uniform for two years after you unveil a new uniform design. So there will be no alternate blue this season. However, the Cavs can still have special-edition uniforms and they'll wear those several times. Like I said, the rules are obscure.
Particolarmente interessante la parte che ho sottolineato, io personalmente non ero a conoscenza di questa regola. Poco male però, l' importante e che siano utilizzabili le s.e( ).
