Basketball Prospect John Wall Charged With Alleged Breaking, Entering Of Raleigh Residence

Raleigh, NC (AHN) - John Wall, one of the nation's most sought-after basketball prospects, was arrested in late April and issued a citation/misdemeanor for alleged breaking and entering of a Raleigh residence, a media outlet in North Carolina reported Monday.

The incident occurred April 27, according to a report in the News & Observer.

Wall, considered the top prep point guard in the nation by several basketball obervers for his play at Word of God, has not selected a college to attend.

He recently ruled out jumping straight to the NBA, however, saying he did not feel he was ready for professional basketball.

Wall is reportedly interested in N.C. State, Baylor, Kentucky, Duke, Memphis and Florida.

A small Raleigh school has even drawn Wall's attention: North Carolina Central.

"I want to find out what a historically black school has to offer," Wall told the paper.

Lo visto giocare in 2 AAU tournaments, e secondo me sara fra i candidati per Freshman of the Year.

Allora Kansas sembra avere proprio una bella squadra, con la conferma del duo Collins-Aldrich e l'innesto di Henry, più la crescita dei vari freshman già in roster. Andy Katz la mette al primo posto nel suo ranking per la prossima stagione, ma manca ancora tanto, troppo tempo.

Su USC, ho letto l'articolo che ha postato kanon, vi chiedo il significato esatto di questa frase: "$100 bills inside an envelope" significa un gruppo di bancanote da 100$ dentro una busta, vero? Quindi potrebbe essere una cifra imprecisata, da 100$ a 10.000 $ ? Perchè la cifra esatta non è precisata nell'articolo

Comunque, è proprio vero, Floyd non si smentisce mai, incredibile!!!

Sì, il significato è quello. Comunque mi pare di aver capito che si tratti ALMENO (non è chiaro se possa essere di più) di un "grand" che equivale a 1.000 $.

Giusto Rocky, un "grand", vale a dire 1k$.

Comunque il problema non è che è nell'importo eh, ma nell'atto, se non sbaglio. Per cui se dovesse essere confermato il tutto ci saranno nubi scure sopra a South Central, a maggior ragione con un fascicolo già aperto per "lack of institutional control" che aveva unito due indagini inizialmente separate (Mayo&Bush). E qui non sarebbe lack of institutional control, ma peggio.

Guillory drove to the location, but once there Johnson took the wheel, saying hello to Floyd before he switched over to the driver's seat and circled the block for 10 to 15 minutes after watching the pair enter a café.

Finally, Guillory appeared alone on a street corner, entering the vehicle and pulling out an envelope full of $100 bills.

"I hadn't seen anything like that before, but I did know, having covered the high school basketball scene, that those things happened, that coaches give kids money," Johnson said, adding that although he didn't see the money change hands, he was certain the exchange was made because of Guillory's description of what was going to happen followed by the showing of the money.

Most dramatic, Johnson said, was the moment he locked eyes with Floyd outside the cafe. "He knew who I was, a writer," Johnson said. "I read body language well. He was uneasy. It was written all over his face."

Il Maroussi, squadra del massimo campionato greco, ha confermato sul sito internet ufficiale che il rappresentante di Jeremy Tyler (che lo scorso mese ha dichiarato di voler sbarcare in Europa prima ancora di finire l'high school), Sonny Vaccaro, in questi giorni in Grecia, ha chiesto di incontrare i vertici della squadra per parlare del suo pupillo. Al termine dell'incontro, Panagiotis Alexandris ha detto di aver aperto un canale preferenziale con Vaccaro e di essersi messo d'accordo per rimanere in contatto nel caso di uno sbarco in Europa del giovane centro. There have been dirtier college football programs. Southern Methodist with its Pony Expre$$ comes to mind. Oklahoma and all the hell that was breaking loose under Barry Switzer. Almost any of the schools coached by Jackie Sherrill.

There have been dirtier college basketball programs. Kentucky in the late 1980s with bulging Emery envelopes and bogus SAT test scores. California with Todd Bozeman. Baylor and that serpent, Dave Bliss.

But there has never been a dirtier combination of college football and college basketball programs, at the same time, than the Southern California Trojans.

What era of USC football and basketball?
