Nel momento in cui viene lanciata un'asta, verrà assegnato un salario di base d'asta, calcolato attraverso la stessa tabella utilizzata per il Mercato FA di Settembre (che tiene conto delle prestazioni dell'anno precedente. Non avranno quindi peso le statistiche del giocatore nell'anno in corso.)

Durante la stagione sarà possibile offrire ai FA esclusivamente contratti annuali, che andranno quindi tutti a scadere al termine della stagione in cui sono stati firmati.

Le offerte di Partenza (quelle con cui si lancia un'asta) hanno durata di 48 ore. Tutti i rilanci effettuati entro 24 ore dall'offerta di partenza scadono nello stesso momento dell'offerta di partenza. Tutti i rilanci effettuati dopo più di 24 ore dall'offerta di partenza hanno durata 24 ore.
La scadenza dell'offerta senza rilancio conclude l'asta con l'assegnazione del giocatore.

Il rilancio minimo resta fisso lungo tutta la durata dell'asta, pari a $ 0,3M.
