Mora e non tanto alta, mi raccomando  :truzzo:

But, you clearly have set a precedent now for holding up a trade because of a player's health. To me, it sounds like you are questioning Sanna's intelligence. I think he's fully aware of DiPietro's uncertain health status. We both recognized that in our discussions. This new trade isn't kindergarden shit. It was meant to appease the panel a bit more to allow for the trade to go through. But, sincerely, congrats on setting a new precedence. Even though you said you wanted to avoid doing something like that at all costs. As far as I'm concerned, that change in position is kindergarden shit.
Last time I checked, I was still entitled to have an opinion.
In Bergeron's case, my opinion wasn't asked, I just followed the rulebook. 3 or whatever other mods could have come in your aid if i did anything wrong just like they've done in the past.
In this case, I was asked to express my opinion by the two other players that protested the trade and by the ones who voted me as part of the trade committee.

Get the difference?

All I meant was that news eventually will come out, as it did in Bergeron's case.

bure wrote: domanda: StLouis invece è in piena lotta x i playoff o x Hedman? qdi manderanno allo sbaraglio McDonald pur di vincere 1partita in +?

MCDONALD UPDATE

Blues center Andy McDonald, who suffered a fractured ankle Nov. 16, is close to returning.

McDonald, who missed his 23rd consecutive game Saturday, has been skating on his own for more than a week and plans to join the Blues in practice this week.

He will likely travel and could play with the Blues on their three-game trip to western Canada, beginning Friday in Vancouver.

Either way, you still helped establish a new precedent. Make no mistake, postponing the DiPietro trade would have been just as significant as ruling in my favour in the Bergeron injury status. Suddenly, things aren't so black and white anymore. Ok fine. I'll get over it. But, what irks me even more was the lack of communication between the trade commission and the parties involved in the trade. I only heard about the logic for the decision ruling through second hand information from Mik. From now on, I want direct communication from the guys influencing my team's decisions. Jeez, I feel like a real NHL GM...quite bitchy.

Latest News:
It does not appear that Rick DiPietro will be playing in any games for the next week. His surgically-repaired knee is still quite swollen and the Islanders' medical staff won't re-evaluate him until the injury calms down, which will likely be some time next week. Keep DiPietro on reserve until further notice. Joey MacDonald will once again fill in for the injury-prone netminder.

You're 100% correct, there needs to be more communication in this league. I'll start by suggesting no more trades on fridays  :lol2:

aggiorno per la cronaca...

Rick DiPietro is believed to be seeing knee specialists to discern why his surgically repaired knee is still a bother. DiPietro was forced to the sidelines with swelling in the knee, which was operated on in late October. The Islanders haven't given an update on the star goalie's status, but its a safe bet that he's out indefinitely.

TRADE SUSPENDED - at less one week
This trade will be examined again when we will find news about DiPietro recover.
We invite Denver and Dallas to send us every news about DiPietro health state they can find in the next days.
TRADE CANCELLED
After further review the trade has been cancelled because of DiPietro's condition and how it would affect his new team.

Goaltender Rick DiPietro will miss the remainder of the 2008-09 season, the Islanders announced Tuesday.  According to team doctors, the decision is a precautionary measure to address swelling in the knee that DiPietro had arthroscopic knee surgery on to repair a meniscus injury on Oct. 31.

DiPietro is expected to resume skating this summer in preparation for the 2009-10 season.

"This has been one of the most frustrating situations I have ever had to deal with, but this is the right decision for me and the team," said DiPietro. "I am confident this will allow me to make a complete recovery, be ready in plenty of time for next season and compete to my highest ability for many years to come. I’d like to thank Islanders fans for their patience and I look forward to playing in front of them next season."
This second try was rejected as well:
Dallas Furies trade:
G Evgeni Nabokov 6 M x 3y
C/RW Johan Franzen 6 M x 1y
Philadelphia's 3rd Round Pick 2009 (conditional pick: if Rick Di Pietro plays at least 10 games within the 08/09 season the pick will be traded)

Denver Avalanche trade:
G Rick Di Pietro 4.5 M x 2y
LW Alexender Semin 5.7 x 3y
