Qui verranno postate [B]SOLO ED ESCLUSIVAMENTE le scelte di ogni squadra nell'Opening Draft 2008.

Riassumendo e traducendo alcune parti:

Le squadre sono chiamate a scegliere i giocatori che andranno a comporre il roster iniziale di 25 giocatori.
Sono eleggibili tutti i giocatori che abbiano già disputato almeno 10 partite di regular season in NHL.
Prima e durante il draft sono ammesse trades che coinvolgano draft picks (di entrambi i draft) a patto che ogni squadra mantenga il numero complessivo di 25 scelte e che il corrispondente iniziale monte salari (post-draft) non superi i 96M (sui 100 disponibili). Se una trade e' annunciata durante il draft, il comitato avra' 2 ore a disposizione per accettare la trade e confermarla. La squadra che deve scegliere subito dopo avra' quindi solo altre 2 ore a disposizione per effettuare la sua scelta.

Una volta che la squadra con la scelta precedente ha effettuato la sua scelta la squadra successiva ha un limite massimo di 4 ore in cui effettuare la sua. Una volta superate le 14 scelte giornaliere, il tempo aumenta a 6 ore. Gentilmente, per correttezza, se avete le idee gia' chiare, vi viene chiesto di non sfruttare troppo questi limiti di tempo.

Gli orari in cui il countdown di 4 ore e' attivo va dalle ore 09:00 alle ore 24:00 CET. Cio' significa che se una squadra deve effettuare la sua scelta alle ore 22:00 avra' fino alle ore 11:00 del giorno dopo per effettuarla.

Se una squadra (che chiameremo A) non effettua la sua scelta, attraverso il/i co-owner o attraverso delegato, entro il limite di 4 ore, la squadra con la scelta successiva puo' procedere ad effettuare la sua scelta. Squadra A puo' effettuare la sua appena si collega al forum. Se  squadra A non effettua una scelta in due giri completi il draft verra' momentaneamente sospeso per trovare un interim-GM che faccia da sostituto.

It will be up to his GM deciding the length of the contract and the eventual demotion to the minors (through waivers) or the eventual cut via buyout.**
Si prega di tenere presente che un giocatore draftato non inserito nelle liste di yahoo, se non ricade nella categoria retired/signed-overseas riceverà comunque un contratto di almeno un anno. Sarà competenza del GM deciderne la durata e in seguito l’eventuale trasferimento nelle minors via waivers, o taglio tramite buyout.
