Orlando Magic guard Jason Williams will undergo arthroscopic surgery tomorrow on his left knee, General Manager Otis Smith announced. Williams is expected to miss approximately four weeks of action. Williams played in all 82 games last season for the Magic, averaging 6.0 ppg., 3.6 apg. and 1.5 rpg. in 20.8 minpg., while shooting .380 (84-221) from three-point range.

Van Gundy said Mickael Pietrus is the player who has distinguished himself most during the first three days of training camp.

“M.P, he’s been unbelievable,” Van Gundy said. “I’ve been happy with everybody, but he’s probably stood out more than anyone. He’s making unbelievable efforts defensively. He’s making more solid plays with the ball offensively. His energy has been good. He’s been unbelievable.”

The NBA is implementing a dress code upon its coaches this season.

Coaches can no longer wear mock turtlenecks under their suit jacket, as they will be required to wear a collared shirt.

"I want them to at least name the rule after me," Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said. "Somebody has their Bird rights. Larry Bird got that rule named after him. I want it to be the Van Gundy Rule."

Povero jason, saro' a orlando per magic-lakers il 13 febbraio, spero solo che stan van gundy gli faccia giocare almeno un paio di minuti....pagherei il biglietto il doppio per vedere un passaggio dietro la schiena di whita chocolate

E domani si inizia con la prima di preseason contro Houston e il nostro beneamino Courtney ( ). Vediamo quali saranno le prime variazioni con Lewis (anche se nel sito, nella presentazione della partita Shard è dato in PF e con Q SF) da 3 e se si andrà più con Anderson (con cui abbiamo esercitato l'opzione per la prossima stagione), con Bass o si proveranno le twin towers con DH e Marcin. A proposito di Dwight, guardando un video dove si allena ai liberi mi è parso di vedere un leggero miglioramento, soprattutto nel rilascio che sembra più morbido e con più parabola. Quanto durerà?  :D
